CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL
Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: In COVID protocol
Lamb is in the NFL's COVID-19 protocols, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Also headed for the reserve/COVID-19 list are teammates Carlos Watkins, Malik Hooker and Israel Mukuamu. Per David Moore of The Dallas Morning News, the players won't be eligible to practice until they clear league protocols but should do so before Week 1. The Cowboys open their regular-season slate Sept. 9 against the Buccaneers.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Takes the field Monday
Brown (knee) was present for Monday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
The report notes that the wideout wasn't sporting any protective gear on his knee when he took the field. Moreover, Brown was able to participate during the individual portion of the practice, in addition to getting in some side work with the team's trainers. Given that his practice reps are being managed after his recent right knee flare-up, it doesn't seem likely that Brown will play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Bears, but as Adam Schefter of ESPN previously reported, Tennessee's top pass catcher from 2020 is expected to be ready for Week 1 action.
-
Tyreek Hill WR | MIA
Chiefs' Tyreek Hill: Practicing Monday
Hill (hamstring) is slated to practice Monday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Hill didn't play in Friday's preseason game versus the Cardinals, but at the time the wideout's absence was portrayed as precautionary. Hill's return to practice Monday underscores that notion, and while he's a candidate to sit out Kansas City's preseason finale along with other key skill players the speedster's Week 1 availability currently isn't in question.
-
James Proche WR | TEN
Ravens' James Proche: Ends practice early
Proche suffered a back injury at Monday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Coach John Harbaugh said Proche is dealing with cramps, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. After Proche suffered his injury Monday, he remained on the field with a trainer but did not resume handling any reps. The Ravens are already operating without all of Marquise Brown (hamstring), Sammy Watkins (undisclosed) and Rashod Bateman (groin) in their wide receiver corps.

Javon Wims WR | CAR
Bears' Javon Wims: Dealing with oblique injury
Wims will not practice Monday due to an oblique strain, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Wims was facing tough competition for a roster spot even before Chicago's recent signing of Isaiah Coulter, and with roster cuts right around the corner, the timing of his oblique injury couldn't be much worse. Wims appeared in 13 games for the Bears in 2020 and hauled in six of 12 targets for 48 yards and one touchdown.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Bothered by knee again
Brown is dealing with a knee injury but should be ready for Week 1, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The wideout reportedly looked dominant early in training camp, rebounding strong after undergoing surgeries on both knees in the offseason. He then missed practice with an undisclosed injury last week, and while it doesn't sound too serious, fantasy managers aren't wrong to be concerned about another issue with Brown's knees. Brown's practice participation will need to be monitored in the coming weeks as the Titans prepare for their season opener against Arizona on Sept. 12.

Steven Sims WR | ARI
Steven Sims: Cut loose by Washington
Sims was waived by Washington on Monday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Ron Rivera and Co. prefer DeAndre Carter for return work on special teams and Adam Humphries for slot snaps on offense. Sims latched on as an undrafted rookie in 2019 and finished out his rookie campaign with 240 yards and four TDs over the final four weeks, but he was either mediocre or injured for most of 2020, sliding down the depth chart after starting the first two games. Sims should sign with another team soon enough, or at least with a practice squad in a matter of weeks.

Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Ravens' Marquise Brown: Missing fourth week of practice
Brown (hamstring) won't practice Monday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
The speedy wideout still hasn't rejoined his teammates at practice since exiting early July 29. He was said to be nearing a return last week, but he never made it back before Saturday's 20-3 preseason win over the Panthers. Brown does still have three full weeks to get ready for Baltimore's season opener on Monday Night Football, leading a WR group that won't have first-round pick Rashod Bateman (core muscle) for at least the first few games. For now, the team's injury group includes Bateman, Brown, Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Miles Boykin (hamstring), a.k.a. four of the top-five wide receivers.
-
Davion Davis WR | WAS
Browns' Davion Davis: Yardage leader again
Davis caught three of four targets for a team-high 45 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Giants in preseason Week 2.
With starters Odell Beckham (knee) and Jarvis Landry sitting out the first two weeks of preseason, Davis is getting plenty of run and leads the Browns with 101 receiving yards. Davis also led the team with 56 yards last week against the Jaguars. Davis is unlikely to win a roster spot, as Cleveland has established players with system knowledge head of him, but he's done enough to be considered a candidate for the practice squad. That would also mean another team would be lurking if the Browns try to sneak him through waivers.
-
Hunter Renfrow WR | CAR
Raiders' Hunter Renfrow: Rested on Saturday
Renfrow did not play in Saturday's 17-16 preseason win over the Rams as the Raiders also were without fellow wide receivers Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards and John Brown.
Renfrow's role is essentially solidified as the Raiders' primary slot receiver ahead of Week 1, so the team hasn't risked his health while a majority of the first stringers have been kept to the sideline through two preseason contests. The Clemson product impressed in a joint practice with the Rams last Wednesday, however, reportedly torching All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey on multiple occasions as The Athletic's Vic Tafur noted.
