Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: One catch in Saturday's loss
Gallup caught one of two targets for four yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Texans.
The Cowboys had their offensive starters out for the entire first quarter, but with Dak Prescott (shoulder) not one of them, there wasn't much production to go around in the passing game. Gallup is the clear third option in Dallas behind Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, but if Prescott is healthy, that role could still lead to solid fantasy numbers.

Amari Cooper WR | LV
Cowboys' Amari Cooper: Limited snaps in preseason debut
Cooper (ankle) didn't see a target but got one carry, losing four yards, in Saturday's preseason loss to the Texans.
The 27-year-old saw his first action of the preseason and played the first quarter along with the rest of the Cowboys' offensive starters, and the fact the team was willing to use Cooper on a jet sweep is a strong sign he's fully recovered from his offseason ankle surgery. He also saw one target on the team's third drive that got wiped out by a penalty. Cooper may have to share the spotlight a little more in 2021 with second-year receiver CeeDee Lamb, but Cooper remains more than capable of a big campaign -- depending, of course, on the health of Dak Prescott (shoulder).
-
CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL
Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Little work in Saturday's loss
Lamb caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Texans.
The Cowboys only had their offensive starters on the field for the first quarter, but as the group included Garrett Gilbert under center and not Dak Prescott (shoulder), there wasn't much production to go around. Lamb is locked into a significant role in the passing game when the regular season begins, but the second-year wideout's chances of putting together an explosive campaign will be tied to Prescott's health.
-
Brandin Cooks WR | SF
Texans' Brandin Cooks: Two grabs Saturday
Cooks caught two of three targets for 10 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Cowboys.
While the veteran wideout's numbers weren't good in his first preseason appearance of the year, there was a somewhat positive takeaway. Tyrod Taylor got the start at QB for the Texans and completed only two passes during his one quarter of action, but they both went to Cooks. The 27-year-old could struggle to record his sixth career 1,000-yard campaign in 2021 with Taylor under center rather than Deshaun Watson, but Cooks remains the team's most dangerous big-play weapon, and any chemistry he can establish with Houston's likely starter at quarterback is a plus.

Demarcus Robinson WR | SF
Chiefs' Demarcus Robinson: Takes reps as punt returner
Robinson reeled in two passes for 10 yards and returned two punts for five yards during Friday's preseason contest versus the Cardinals.
The coaching staff is giving a bunch of players a look in the return game before making a final decision, but Robinson's go of it Friday wasn't a particularly good one. It seems unlikely he will hold a return job come Week 1, but he still figures to contribute in some capacity on offense. He's vying with both Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle for snaps alongside Tyreek Hill.
-
Byron Pringle WR | WAS
Chiefs' Byron Pringle: Challenging for No. 2 WR role?
Pringle has been the most consistent receiver in camp outside of Tyreek Hill and could be carving out a significant role in the offense, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Pringle displayed his promise again in the second preseason tilt Friday against the Cardinals, leading all Chiefs receivers with four catches for 63 yards. Goldman notes that Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson are definitely in the mix for reps as well, but Pringle entered camp as the underdog and has continued to make a name for himself. The third-year wideout out of Kansas State could begin to creep into sleeper territory in deep fantasy leagues but is still a risky proposition at this point.
-
Parris Campbell WR | DAL
Colts' Parris Campbell: Blanked in box score
Campbell was held without a catch on two targets during Saturday's preseason victory in Minnesota.
Campbell's first target was a high pass from Sam Ehlinger that went off his fingertips and into the arms of Vikings linebacker Troy Dye, who returned it to the house for the only TD of the game. The performance was a far cry from preseason Week 1, when Campbell's only look from Jacob Eason went for a 37-yard gain. Considering Eason has been the more consistent passer between him and Ehlinger, Campbell and the rest of the offense may fare better with Eason if one of the two is called on to start for Carson Wentz (foot) in Week 1.
-
Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Snags one pass Saturday
Pittman posted one catch (on two targets) for seven yards during Saturday's preseason victory at Minnesota.
Even with veteran T.Y. Hilton taking a seat, Pittman wasn't targeted by starter Sam Ehlinger until the first play of the second quarter, and his only catch went for seven yards. Meanwhile, all of Mo Alie-Cox, Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell, Nyheim Hines and even Farrod Green earned targets before Pittman. Pittman seems to be vying with Pascal and Campbell for slotting on the wide receiver depth chart, but Carson Wentz's foot injury has led to uneven quarterback play from Ehlinger and Jacob Eason, the primary competitors for a potential Week 1 start.
-
Dez Fitzpatrick WR | LAC
Titans' Dez Fitzpatrick: Finds end zone
Fitzpatrick recorded two receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers.
Fitzpatrick has been quiet throughout training camp and the team's first exhibition, though he made an impact in Saturday's contest. He caught a 23-yard touchdown from Logan Woodside late in the third quarter to make his primary contribution. Despite being a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft, Fitzpatrick could be battling for a roster spot for the remainder of the buildup to the regular season.
-
Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ
Titans' Josh Reynolds: Targeted once
Reynolds recorded one target and no receptions in Saturday's preseason contest against the Buccaneers.
Reynolds sat in the team's first preseason game, so this serves as his debut in Tennessee. His lone target came in the red zone on the team's third offensive possession. Though Reynolds appeared to be headed for a big role when he first signed with the Titans, the addition of Julio Jones (undisclosed) limits his potential target volume.
