Kendrick Bourne WR | ARI
49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Should see uptick in snaps Sunday
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Bourne is "probably" going to be a starting receiver for the team in Sunday's game against the Cardinals with Jauan Jennings (ankle) listed as questionable but set to be inactive for the Week 3 contest, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Bourne began his second stint in the 49ers organization last week, when he joined San Francisco on a one-year deal after he was previously cut by the Patriots at the conclusion of the preseason. Despite having limited practice time with the 49ers leading up to the Week 2 win over the Saints, Bourne still played 35 of the team's 71 offensive snaps in the contest, finishing with a 3-32-0 receiving line on three targets. With Jennings out of the mix for Week 3, Bourne should be in store for an uptick in snaps and targets while likely settling in as the 49ers' No. 2 wideout behind Ricky Pearsall.

Bryce Oliver WR | TEN
Titans' Bryce Oliver: Not playing Week 3
Oliver (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Oliver suffered a knee injury during the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Rams. The injury was severe enough for him to miss practice all of last week, and he'll work on being available for Tennessee's AFC South clash against Houston in Week 4. Julius Chestnut will likely join rookie fourth-rounder Chimere Dike on special teams as a kickoff returner in Oliver's absence.

Braxton Berrios WR | HOU
Texans' Braxton Berrios: Inactive Sunday
Berrios (coach's decision) isn't suiting up Sunday against Jacksonville.
Berrios missed the first two weeks of the campaign due to a hamstring issue but wasn't given an injury designation heading into this weekend. With that in mind, his inactive status Sunday may be more tied to his depth role in the passing game and his lack of an opportunity to build chemistry within the offense thus far. It's also notable that fellow wideout Christian Kirk is active Week 3 after missing Houston's first two games with a hamstring injury of his own.

David Moore WR | CAR
Panthers' David Moore: Spot start on tap Sunday
Moore is expected to start Sunday's game against the Falcons with Xavier Legette (hamstring) inactive, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Moore hasn't received a target on minimal snap counts in two games to begin the season, but he's in line to be a part of the starting lineup along with No. 1 WR Tetairoa McMillan in Week 3. Whether or not that amounts to much attention for Moore from QB Bryce Young remains to be seen, especially with Hunter Renfrow (15 targets in 2025) also on hand, but Moore at least will be on the field to begin the contest.

Jermaine Burton WR | CIN
Bengals' Jermaine Burton: Inactive again Week 3
Burton (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Despite being healthy, Burton has yet to suit up this season. The 2024 third-round pick remains behind Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Andrei Iosivas, Mitchell Tinsley and Charlie Jones on the offensive depth chart.
-
Xavier Legette WR | CAR
Panthers' Xavier Legette: Sitting out in Week 3
Legette (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Legette earned significant snap shares (78 and 80 percent) in the first two games of the season, but his combined line of 4-8-0 on 15 targets to date doesn't reflect that fact. He then was limited in practice during Week 3 prep due to a hamstring issue that will sideline him Sunday. In Legette's stead, David Moore is expected to start alongside top WR Tetairoa McMillan, while Hunter Renfrow, Brycen Tremayne and Dalevon Campbell will be the other available options at the position.

Emeka Egbuka WR | TB
Buccaneers' Emeka Egbuka: All clear for Week 3
Egbuka (hip/groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Egbuka's availability for Week 3 initially appeared to be in some doubt after the two lower-body injuries kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday, but he was able to get back on the field as a limited participant Friday en route to taking a questionable designation into the weekend. The standout rookie is apparently feeling well enough to give it a go Sunday, though Adam Schefter of ESPN notes that Egbuka is a candidate to "have his snaps monitored and potentially limited based on how he feels during the game." Despite some possible workload restrictions, Egbuka still looks like a worthwhile option in fantasy lineups after he amassed an 8-96-3 receiving line on 13 targets through his first two NFL contests. However, Egbuka could eventually lose out on some looks in the passing game as soon as Week 4, as fellow wideout Chris Godwin (ankle) is targeting next Sunday's matchup with the Eagles for his 2025 debut.
-
Jauan Jennings WR | SF
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Not on track to play Sunday
Jennings (ankle/shoulder) is not in line to play Sunday against the Cardinals, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Jennings was officially listed as questionable after not practicing this week, but it looks his name is slated to be among the 49ers' inactives ahead of Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff. In that scenario, Ricky Pearsall would be a candidate for a larger target share, with fellow wideouts Kendrick Bourne, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore also mixing in.
-
Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Targeting Week 4 debut
Godwin (ankle) will remain out for Sunday's game against the Jets, but he has a "strong chance" of making his season debut Week 4 versus the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Godwin will end up missing the Buccaneers' first three games of the season while he works his way back from a pair of procedures on the left ankle he dislocated Oct. 21, 2024, but he looks poised to make his return to the Tampa Bay lineup less than a year after suffering the devastating injury. The veteran wideout has already been a limited participant in five of the Buccaneers' last six practices, but Schefter relays that Godwin is expected to mix into drills with the team's other starters beginning in Week 4. If all goes well in practices Wednesday through Friday, Godwin should get the green light to suit up against the Eagles, providing quarterback Baker Mayfield with another playmaker to complement wideouts Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka (hip/groin) and running back Bucky Irving. Before dislocating his ankle, Godwin was well on his way to the best season of his career in 2024, as he produced a monstrous 50-576-5 receiving line on 62 targets through seven games.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR | SEA
Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Likely to play through illness
Smith-Njigba (illness) remains listed as questionable heading into Sunday's game against the Saints, but his availability for the Week 3 contest is unlikely to be affected while he bounces back from an unspecified "bug," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Smith-Njigba wasn't included on the injury report all week before the Seahawks designated him as questionable Saturday after he came down with an illness. According to Schefter, the Seahawks gave the third-year wideout the questionable tag seemingly as a precaution more than anything else, but the team will wait and see how Smith-Njigba is feeling upon reporting to Lumen Field on Sunday morning before confirming that he'll suit up. Official word on Smith-Njigba's status will arrive when the Seahawks release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.
