  • Noah Brown WR | WAS

Commanders' Noah Brown: Cleared for TNF

Brown (knee/rest) does not carry an injury designation for Thursday's road matchup against the Packers.

Brown didn't practice Wednesday after having been listed as limited on Washington's walk-through practice reports Monday and Tuesday, but the team simply appears to be following the same maintenance protocol that was required for the No. 3 receiver to suit up Week 1. He was targeted three times while playing 46 percent of offensive snaps during the Commanders' regular-season opener against the Giants, securing two of those targets for 27 yards. Brown looks set for a similar workload versus Green Bay, contributing at wide receiver behind top options Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel.

  • Travis Hunter WR | JAC

Jaguars' Travis Hunter: Set for more defensive work in Week 2

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said Wednesday that Hunter will get more snaps on defense in Sunday's game at Cincinnati, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

In the Jaguars' Week 1 win over Carolina, Hunter played 64 percent of his team's snaps on offense but only nine percent on defense, catching six passes for 33 yards on a team-high eight targets. He ran a route on 77 percent of Trevor Lawrence's dropbacks, flirting with full-time status in his NFL debut. Additional playing time on defense doesn't necessarily mean fewer snaps on offense, especially when Hunter is starting at such a low point with the former. He should remain a key part of Jacksonville's offense, regardless of what his weekly role on defense looks like in the coming games.

  • Simi Fehoko WR | ARI

Cardinals' Simi Fehoko: Joins active roster

Fehoko was signed to the Cardinals' active roster Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

The 2021 fifth-round pick joined the Cardinals' practice squad after failing to make the initial 53-man roster in late August. However, with the injury to key special-teamer Joey Blount (neck/concussion), Fehoko has been added to the active roster. The Stanford product is expected to contribute on special teams and as a depth piece in Arizona's wide receiver corps as the season continues.

  • Jalen Royals WR | KC

Chiefs' Jalen Royals: Still not practicing

Royals (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Coach Andy Reid noted that Royals -- who was inactive Week 1 -- is doing better and making progress but acknowledged that at this stage it's too early to know if the wideout will be able to play Sunday against the Eagles, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. For now, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton are Kansas City's top healthy/available WRs.

  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Not slated to practice Wednesday

Worthy (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

According to coach Andy Reid, Worthy -- who suffered a right shoulder injury during Week 1 action -- is doing better and making progress, while surgery currently isn't under consideration for the wideout. As this stage, however, Worthy's status for Sunday's game against the Eagles remains cloudy, and in that context Hollywood Brown is the Chiefs' top healthy and available WR. In the event that both Worthy and Jalen Royals (knee) are sidelined this weekend, added snaps would be available for JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Misses practice with ankle injury

Giants coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Robinson (ankle) will not practice, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.

Robinson played 76 percent of New York's offensive snaps during the Giants' 21-6 loss to the Commanders in Week 1, in which he secured six of eight targets for 55 yards, but he appears to have picked up an ankle injury in the process. Daboll downplayed the severity of Robinson's injury, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, so as long as the No. 2 receiver is able to return to practice Thursday and/or Friday he should have a good chance to suit up Sunday on the road against Dallas. Russell Wilson has been confirmed as the starter again for Week 2, but if the Giants' offense isn't able to improve notably after having been limited to just 168 passing yards Week 1, the team could soon consider a shift to rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart.

  • Jets' Isaiah Williams: Picked up by Gang Green

The Jets signed Williams off the Bengals' practice squad Wednesday.

The second-year wideout spent time with the Bengals and Lions in 2024, catching two of his three targets for six yards and recording 169 kick-return yards over eight total appearances. With New York waiving Xavier Gipson on Wednesday and Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) potentially sidelined, Williams now will be an option to return kicks in the Jets' Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Malik Nabers WR | NYG

    Giants' Malik Nabers: Limited Wednesday

Giants coach Brian Daboll said that Nabers (back) will be limited in practice Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Nabers' practice reps simply seem to be being managed, as he was limited in practice last Friday before being fully cleared to suit up for New York's 21-6 loss to the Commanders, in which he secured five of 12 targets for 71 yards. There's not yet any reason to believe that Nabers' status for Week 2 against the Cowboys on Sunday is truly in any jeopardy. The state of the Giants' passing game is a larger concern for Nabers, as Russell Wilson managed just 168 passing yards on 37 attempts Week 1. Nabers' playmaking ability and target volume will assist in keeping his fantasy value stable, but while Wilson has been confirmed as the starter again Week 2, if this offense doesn't improve quickly, a shift under center to rookie first-round pick Jaxson Dart may happen sooner than later.

  • Xavier Gipson WR | NYG

Xavier Gipson: Officially out in New York

Gipson was waived by the Jets on Wednesday.

Gipson was expected to be dropped by the Jets on Wednesday as reported by Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, and the move has now been made official. Over 35 career games with the Jets, Gipson caught 27 of his 48 targets for 268 yards and one touchdown. Additionally, he tallied 1,142 kick-return yards and 604 punt-return yards, though he also fumbled 10 times. The 24-year-old could draw interest from teams seeking help in the return game.

  • Xavier Gipson WR | NYG

Jets' Xavier Gipson: Expected to be waived

The Jets are expected to waive Gipson on Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

The undrafted wideout from Stephen F. Austin has served as one of the Jets' top return men since entering the league in 2023. However, his costly fumble while filling in for Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) on a kickoff return in New York's opening week loss to the Steelers likely prompted the team to move in another direction. With Gipson set to be waived, Isaiah Davis is expected to take over as the Jets' top punt returner.
