Isaac TeSlaa WR | DET
Lions' Isaac TeSlaa: Comes down with illness
TeSlaa was listed as limited on Wednesday's estimated injury report due to an illness.
A third-round pick in this year's draft, TeSlaa suited up in all three of the Lions' preseason games and made an impact in each one, racking up eight catches (on 10 targets) for 100 yards and three touchdowns along the way. Last Wednesday, Detroit's receiving corps became less cluttered when the team traded Tim Patrick to the Jaguars, which allowed TeSlaa to move up the depth chart. Still, TeSlaa will be vying for WR reps with Kalif Raymond behind the top duo of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, meaning targets may be tough to come by right away this season. In the end, though, TeSlaa will need to overcome an illness ahead of Sunday's game at Green Bay.

Curtis Samuel WR | BUF
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Dodges injury report
Samuel (hamstring/illness) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Samuel missed much of training camp due to a hamstring injury and illness, but he enters the regular season with a clean bill of health. The veteran is competing with Elijah Moore and Tyrell Shavers for rotational opportunities on offense behind starting receivers Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman (groin) and Joshua Palmer. After compiling just a 31-253-1 receiving line across 14 regular-season appearances in 2024, Samuel doesn't project as a notable fantasy contributor heading into Sunday's home matchup against Baltimore.

Jauan Jennings WR | SF
49ers' Jauan Jennings: To be limited Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Jennings (calf) will be a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Jennings kicked off training camp seeking a new contract before sustaining a calf injury that sidelined him for the entire preseason slate. Per Wagoner, GM John Lynch said last Wednesday that he had no intentions of trading the wide receiver, and now Jennings will log two practices in three days to begin this week, albeit with a cap on his reps. Jennings presumably is ramping up with an aim to play Sunday in Seattle, as Shanahan also told David Lombardi of SFStandard.com that he expects him to suit up this weekend.

Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Falcons' Darnell Mooney: Day-to-day, limited in practice
Mooney (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that Mooney is still "day-to-day," mentioning the option to "wait up until the last minute" to make an official decision on his status for Week 1, per Josh Kendall of The Athletic. Mooney will receive an official injury designation on Friday's practice report, but it could be that a final word on his status may not arrive until roughly 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 kickoff against Tampa Bay. He's recovering from a shoulder injury sustained early in training camp. Dave Holcomb of SI reports that Mooney agreed Wednesday to restructure his contract with Atlanta, freeing up roughly an additional $6 million in cap space for the team.

Noah Brown WR | WAS
Commanders' Noah Brown: Limited in practice
Brown (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Brown picked up an injury during June minicamp, and despite opening training camp as a full participant, he was held off the practice field late August. It's encouraging for Brown's odds of playing Week 1 to now see him back on the field, though he'll have only two more chances to upgrade to full participation ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener against the Giants.

Josh Downs WR | IND
Colts' Josh Downs: Not on Week 1 injury report
Downs (hamstring) isn't listed on the initial injury report for Sunday's game against Miami.
He's apparently made a full recovery from the hamstring injury that kept him out of practice throughout the second half of August. With that out of the way, Downs gets a favorable matchup to start the season, facing a Miami secondary that has four players unavailable while on injury lists. One of those players is standout nickelback Kader Kohou, who might otherwise have matched up against Downs for much of Sunday's game. Fifth-round rookie Jason Marshall is the favorite to replace Kohou in the slot, although the Dolphins could also use 30-year-old Rasul Douglas or one of their safeties there. Either way, Downs should have the edge.

Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC
Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Unsure of extension chances
Meyers said Wednesday that he's unsure whether he and the Raiders will be able to reach agreement on a contract extension, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Meyers requested a trade from Las Vegas in late August due to dissatisfaction with his current contract situation, and he cited loyalty to his teammates Wednesday as the cause of his not holding out. Currently, Meyers is heading into the final year of his contract with the team and will be due $10.76 million for the 2025 season. The No. 1 receiver tallied the first 1,000-yard campaign of his career while playing 15 regular-season games in 2024, totaling an 86-1,027-8 receiving line on 129 targets. He's positioned alongside tight end Brock Bowers as one of Geno Smith's clear top options in the receiving game heading into Sunday's regular-season opener on the road against New England.

Tetairoa McMillan WR | CAR
Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Sidesteps practice report
McMillan (hamstring) wasn't listed on the Panthers' first Week 1 injury report Wednesday.
McMillan first missed practice due to a hamstring injury on Aug. 18 but was back on the field on Aug. 26. Now more than a week later, he doesn't have any limitations at all, paving the way for him to make his pro debut Sunday in Jacksonville. With veteran WR Adam Thielen getting traded to the Vikings last week, McMillan is the unquestioned No. 1 option in Carolina's passing game for QB Bryce Young.

Malik Nabers WR | NYG
Giants' Malik Nabers: Avoids practice report
Nabers (toe/shoulder/back) wasn't listed on the Giants' first Week 1 injury report Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Nabers thus will be available to the Giants offense Sunday at Washington after contending with multiple health concerns throughout the offseason and training camp, namely back tightness that sidelined him until Aug. 19. Last Wednesday, he told Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com that the issue was "a minor thing" and wasn't going to be a problem moving forward, which has come to pass. In two matchups with the Commanders last season, Nabers combined for 19 catches (on 29 targets) for 186 yards and one touchdown.

Tyreek Hill WR | MIA
Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Increasing practice workload
Hill (oblique) has been ramping up his practice workload and will be a limited participant Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Hill returned to practice last Thursday after missing a little more than three weeks, with coach Mike McDaniel saying at the time that he expected the wideout to play Week 1. It sounds like Hill is still on track to face the Colts this Sunday, but he may need an upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday in order to get the go-ahead. McDaniel also mentioned that Hill would get some work in team drills Wednesday, and per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa dismissed concerns about his and the star wideout's relationship declining this offseason.
