  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Not practicing Wednesday

McMillian (undisclosed) is not participating in Wednesday's minicamp session as a precautionary measure after he accidentally collided with a defensive back Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Carolina's team spokesman labeled McMillan's absence "precautionary." It's possible the rookie first-round pick could be sidelined again for the team's final offseason practice Thursday, but it appears he's only dealing with a minor issue and will be a full-go for the start of training camp. At 6-foot-4, 219 pounds, McMillan enters the league as one of the NFL's largest receivers. No. 8 overall draft capital essentially assures him an immediate starting role in the Panthers' wide receiver corps, which returns Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker (undisclosed) while adding 29-year-old slot specialist Hunter Renfrow. Expectations are high for McMillan, as it would be disappointing if he doesn't quickly emerge as Bryce Young's top target and help the third-year quarterback take another step forward after his encouraging end to the 2024 season. McMillan's fantasy value Year 1 will depend as much on own play as Young's development, however.

  • Michael Gallup WR | WAS

Commanders' Michael Gallup: Managing hamstring strain

Gallup is not participating in Commanders mandatory minicamp Wednesday due to a hamstring strain, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Gallup also sat out Tuesday's minicamp session due to his injury. After a one-season retirement hiatus, Gallup is competing to carve out a depth role in Washington's wide receiver corps and make a comeback in the NFL. His path to a spot on the 53-man roster will become increasingly difficult the more time he misses, but Gallup at least has over a month to get healthy ahead of training camp.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Coaching up teammates at minicamp

Aiyuk (knee) is present at San Francisco's mandatory minicamp but is not practicing, though he contributed Tuesday by coaching up the team's younger receivers, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Aiyuk's recovery remains on track, but given the severity of the injury he's working back from, he's not considered a candidate to be ready for the start of training camp in late July. The 49ers haven't yet offered a tangible timetable for Aiyuk's expected return, but he's remaining involved at team activities despite not being ready to handle on-field work. While it's still possible Aiyuk is ready for the start of the regular season after tearing the ACL and MCL in his right knee last October, it's not a guarantee he'll be back to 100 percent form at any point in 2025. Even considering his deflated ADP in 2025 fantasy drafts, Aiyuk has to be considered a high-risk, high-upside selection. As he heads into the second season of the four-year, $120 million extension he inked with the 49ers last offseason, though, Aiyuk remains positioned to lead San Francisco's wide receiver corps when fully healthy.

  • Jaguars' Brian Thomas: Dinged-up in practice

Thomas left Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury but could've returned if the Jaguars had wanted him to, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Thomas walked off the field with trainers but returned as an observer not long after. While he may be held out of the team's final offseason practice Thursday, it sounds like he'll be fine for the start of training camp in late July. Thomas has mostly been a late-first-round pick in early fantasy drafts after closing out his rookie season with six straight games of at least 76 yards and 10 targets. Second overall pick Travis Hunter will give defenses something else to worry about in the passing game, but he won't necessarily get enough targets to threaten Thomas' value. Other potential positives for 2025 include a healthier Trevor Lawrence and new head coach Liam Coen.

  • Bo Melton CB | GB

Packers' Bo Melton: Taking reps at cornerback

Melton was running cornerback drills during minicamp Tuesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Melton was fifth among Green Bay's pass catchers in snaps in 2024, but after the team added Matthew Golden and Savion Williams in the 2025 Draft and signed veteran Mecole Hardman in free agency this offseason, Melton's place on the roster became uncertain. His 4.34 speed at least allows him to project as a special teams asset, and the Packers may get creative finding ways to keep him on the 53-man roster. At least for now, there's an opening at cornerback thanks to the recent release of Jaire Alexander (knee).

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Team still exercising caution

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that Pearsall (hamstring) is healthy enough to participate in mandatory minicamp, but the team is prioritizing having the second-year wideout ready for training camp, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Pearsall worked out on the side at the start of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, per Lee Chan, and it seems likely that he won't join on-field work until training camp. With Brandon Aiyuk (knee) also not yet ready to practice as he works his way back from ACL and MCL tears, Jauan Jennings and Demarcus Robinson will handle first-team reps. Once fully cleared, Pearsall will begin building momentum toward a potential Year 2 breakout.

  • Bears' Luther Burden: On track for training camp

Bears coach Ben Johnson said Tuesday on the first day of mandatory minicamp that Burden (undisclosed) should be ready for training camp in late July, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Burden sustained an undisclosed soft-tissue injury during rookie minicamp. It looks like the 2025 second-round pick will continue to miss reps in mandatory minicamp after being forced to sit out OTAs. Once healthy, Burden will work to make up for lost time and secure the No. 3 receiver role behind DJ Moore and Rome Odunze.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | MIN

Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Bulking up in offseason

Nailor has bulked up and gained muscle in the offseason, Judd Zulgand of SKOR North reports.

Nailor will face increased competition for the third receiver role, with the Vikings drafting Tai Felton in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft and signing free agent Rondale Moore. Whoever wins the role could see an increase in playing time if Jordan Addison misses time due to a possible suspension from his DUI arrest last summer. While gaining muscle may not mean much in terms of improving his chances to win the role, it shows he's doing work in the offseason.

  • Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ

Jets' Garrett Wilson: Present for minicamp

Wilson is attending the first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

The wideout is seeking a contract extension after the Jets exercised his fifth-year option in April, but there have been no signs that he'll skip any team activities as a negotiating tactic. Now heading into his age-25 season, Wilson will spend the offseason working to build chemistry with Justin Fields, the third time in four seasons he's had a new starting quarterback to begin the campaign. Despite that turmoil under center, Wilson has never missed a regular-season game or finished below 1,000 receiving yards since entering the league in 2022. It remains to be seen how efficient Fields and the passing game will be under new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, but Wilson remains positioned as the Jets' unquestioned top receiving option and should see a dominant target share given the lackluster state of the depth chart behind him.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Catches passes at minicamp

Hill (wrist) participated in individual receiving drills during the first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Hill didn't participate in team drills, but it was a positive sign to see him catching passes for the first time since undergoing a pair of offseason wrist surgeries. The 31-year-old remains on track to be fully cleared closer to training camp. After tallying over 1,700 receiving yards in the 2022 and 2023 campaigns with a combined 19 receiving TDs between them, Hill regressed to the tune of an 81-959-6 receiving line in 2024 despite suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. Hill could be a bargain in 2025 fantasy drafts if he can bounce back to something resembling his prior form, but the days of him being a candidate to lead the league in receiving yards may be behind him.
