Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Could be ready for Week 1

Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site relays via Adam Schefter of ESPN that there's reportedly optimism Diggs, who is bouncing back from a torn right ACL in his right knee that he suffered Oct. 27, could be ready for Week 1 of the coming season.

Given the timing of his injury, Diggs being available for the Patriots' regular-season opener is far from a lock, but Mike Reiss of ESPN recently noted that league sources described the wideout as ahead of schedule in his recovery and already running at full speed while in the process of gaining increased comfort in terms of cutting and changing direction. In any case, added context with regard to Diggs' progress will arrive once he retakes the field in the coming months, and once he's deemed fit for game action, the 31-year-old will be counted on to establish himself as a high-volume target for second-year QB Drake Maye. It's possible that the Patriots aren't done adding to their WR corps, but for now DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Mack Hollins, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker are on hand to compete for slotting behind Diggs, who New England signed to a reported three-year, $69 million deal (with $26 million guaranteed) on Tuesday.

  • Steven Sims WR | ARI

Seahawks' Steven Sims: Signs with Seattle

Sims and the Seahawks agreed on a one-year contract Tuesday, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.

Sims will head to Seattle after splitting the 2024 campaign between the Texans and the Ravens. The wide receiver combined to log nine total offensive snaps during the regular season, doing most of his damage as a return specialist. He'll likely operate in a similar role with the Seahawks in 2025.

  • Stefon Diggs WR | NE

Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Headed to New England

Diggs (knee) and the Patriots agreed to a three-year, $69 million contract Tuesday that includes $26 million guaranteed, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The wide receiver caught 47 of 64 targets for 496 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding eight yards and a score on the ground, over eight regular-season games with Houston in 2024 before suffering a season-ending ACL tear in Week 8 against the Colts. Once he moves past the injury, Diggs will have a clear path to heavy target volume as the top option for Drake Maye in the Patriots' passing game.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Reworks contract

Kirk (collarbone) agreed earlier this month to restructure his contract for the 2025 season, with the Texans opting to convert $14.245 million of his salary into a signing bonus, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Kirk, who is entering the final season of the four-year, $72 million contract he signed with Jacksonville in 2022, was acquired by the Texans on March 6 in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick. The Texans' willingness to take on the remaining money on his deal was likely a major factor in the low compensation the Jaguars received in return, but Houston was at least able to restructure the contract to make it more palatable for salary-cap purposes. Between his salary and signing bonus, Kirk will earn $16.5 million in 2025, with the potential to earn an additional $3 million if he reaches unspecified catches and receiving yardage incentives. With Tank Dell's (knee) availability for the upcoming season in doubt, Kirk is projected to head into training camp as Houston's No. 2 wideout behind Nico Collins. Prior to suffering a season-ending fractured collarbone in Week 8, Kirk was supplanted by Brian Thomas as the top option in the Jacksonville passing game and finished with a 27-379-1 line on 47 targets.

  • Zach Pascal WR | NYG

Giants' Zach Pascal: Moving to NFC East

Pascal and the Giants have agreed upon a one-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

With New York, Pascal will get to reunite with wide receivers coach Mike Groh, who was on the Colts' staff during Pascal's final two seasons in Indianapolis. The veteran wideout has seen his role shift in recent campaigns, as Pascal logged more snaps on special teams than on offense each of the past two years while with Arizona -- in fact, he played in all 17 of the Cardinals' contests last season but didn't see a target in the passing game. Pascal could fill a similar role with the Giants, though he should at least get a chance to compete for a depth receiver role during training camp.

  • River Cracraft WR | WAS

Seahawks' River Cracraft: Signs with Seattle

The Seahawks signed Cracraft to a contract Friday.

Cracraft joins Seattle's wide-receiver corps after spending the last three seasons in Miami, in which span he never managed to pile up 150 receiving yards in a single year. He'll work to establish himself in a depth role with his new team, where plenty of offensive snaps figure to be up for grabs with Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling having replaced DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Giants' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Finds new team

The Giants signed Humphrey on Friday.

Humphrey is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he recorded a career-high 31 receptions on 45 targets for 293 yards and a touchdown in 17 games with the Broncos. At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, the 26-year-old will add size and experience to a Giants wideout corps that also includes Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt. However, in his new locale, Humphrey could see a dip in volume in 2025.

  • Brandin Cooks WR | BUF

Saints' Brandin Cooks: Headed back to New Orleans

The Saints are slated to sign Cooks, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the wideout's reported deal is a two-year pact worth $13 million. Cooks, who joined the NFL as a 2014 first-round pick of the Saints, is thus poised to return to New Orleans, where he'll add speed and experience to a WR corps which is led by Chris Olave and also includes Rashid Shaheed. In 10 regular-season games with the Cowboys in 2024, Cooks recorded 26 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns on 54 targets, but with his looming change of scenery, a bounce-back campaign could be in order for the 31-year-old, with a path to steady snaps seemingly on tap for him in 2025.

  • Jamal Agnew WR | ATL

Falcons' Jamal Agnew: Signs with Atlanta

Agnew signed a one-year deal worth up to $2.5 million with the Falcons on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

The returner and wide receiver spent time on Pittsburgh's practice squad last year after breaking his leg late in the 2023 campaign with Jacksonville. Agnew's career high for catches is just 24, recorded when he was with the Jaguars in 2021, but he does have six career return touchdowns on punts and kickoffs. The 2017 fifth-round pick of the Lions should have a chance to earn that type of role with the Falcons in 2025.

  • Michael Gallup WR | WAS

Commanders' Michael Gallup: Adds depth to Washington WR corps

The Commanders signed Gallup on Thursday.

Gallup last saw regular-season action with Dallas during the 2023 season, when he logged a 34-418-2 receiving line in 17 regular-season games. After announcing his intention to retire last July, the 29-year-old sat out out the entire 2024 NFL campaign, but Gallup now is poised to resume his career with Washington, joining a wideout group headed by Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, with Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey and K.J. Osborn also in the mix. While Gallup doesn't have a clear path to steady volume at first glance, he does give the Commanders experienced pass-catching depth, as he reunites with coach Dan Quinn, who worked with the 2018 third-rounder while the two were together for three years in Dallas, per Ben Standig of The Athletic.
