Joseph-Day appeared on the injury report Wednesday, though it's unclear when he hurt his elbow. The 30-year-old has yet to miss a game this season but could be in danger of sitting out Sunday's matchup versus the Jaguars if he's unable to practice fully either Thursday or Friday.

  • Charlie Smyth: Competing for starting job

Head coach Kellen Moore said Wednesday that Smyth and Cade York will compete for the Saints' placekicker job, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

York joined Smyth on the practice squad Tuesday, and they'll compete against each other to start against the Dolphins on Sunday after Blake Grupe was waived. Smyth joined the Saints in late March as a qualifying international player, and he has a chance to make his NFL regular-season debut in Week 13.

Jaguars' Travon Walker: Unable to practice

Walker (knee) was a non-participant at practice Wednesday.

Lewis (neck) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Lewis has missed the Jaguars' last three games due to a neck injury. However, his full practice Wednesday indicates that he recovered from the injury and should be cleared to play in Sunday's AFC South tilt against the Titans. Lewis' return could result in a decreased snap count on defense for Montaric Brown.

The Seahawks signed Holiday to their practice squad Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Holiday is headed to Seattle after being cut from Kansas City's practice squad Monday. The 23-year-old didn't appear in any games with the Chiefs but could be elevated and make his regular-season debut with the Seahawks.
