Marvin Harrison Jr. WR | HOU
Cardinals' Marvin Harrison: Will sit amid trade talks
A trade for Harrison will not be completed "until after Sunday's games are played," but the Cardinals "feel comfortable enough" knowing it will occur that they will deactivate him for Sunday's game against the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Harrison's long-term outlook is firmly up in the air after it was announced earlier Saturday that he will be traded to an unspecified team, but per the latest report, "The one certainty is that Harrison's time in Arizona is done." Michael Wilson and Trey McBride figure to remain plenty busy in the passing game, and Harrison's absence will open up some opportunities for Kendrick Bourne and presumably Jalen Brooks.

Marvin Harrison Jr. WR | HOU
Cardinals' Marvin Harrison: Trade being finalized
The Cardinals are "finalizing a deal to trade Harrison" to an unspecified team, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Harrison's destination is unclear, but he is on the move after spending two seasons and the early portion of the current campaign in Arizona. Per the report, the Cardinals informed Harrison "that he will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions as details of the trade are finalized," so one way or another he will not see action in Week 5.

Noah Fant TE | NO
Saints' Noah Fant: Cleared to play vs. Minnesota
Fant (abdomen) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Fant opened the week with back-to-back limited practices before logging a full session Friday, which was enough for him to shed an injury tag and return from a one-game absence due to an abdominal injury. He has an 8-66-3 receiving line (on 12 targets) through three regular-season games while operating as the Saints' TE2 behind Juwan Johnson.

Tez Johnson WR | TB
Buccaneers' Tez Johnson: Hauls in 64-yard pass vs. Dallas
Johnson caught his lone target for 64 yards during Thursday's 24-16 win over the Cowboys.
Johnson took advantage of the Cowboys' lapse in the secondary, with the second-year wideout on the receiving end of a deep ball from Jalon Daniels that the former turned into a 64-yard catch that led to a one-yard touchdown run by Bucky Irving three plays later. It was Johnson's second catch of 40-plus yards this season and third since entering the league in 2025 as a seventh-round draft pick. It's hard to rely on consistent production from the Bucs' pass catchers while Daniels is under center instead of Baker Mayfield (thumb), though Johnson is capable of having occasional big plays.

Sean Tucker RB | TB
Buccaneers' Sean Tucker: Fails to score goal-line TD
Tucker turned five carries into 18 yards during the Buccaneers' 24-16 win over the Cowboys on Thursday.
Four of Tucker's five carries came during the Buccaneers' offensive drive that spanned the late third quarter and into the fourth. He was given a goal-line rushing opportunity, but he was stuffed by the Cowboys' defense before crossing the plane on fourth-and-1, which prevented him from logging a rushing touchdown in back-to-back games. Tucker is firmly entrenched as the Bucs' RB3 but would stand to benefit from an increased snap count if one or both of Bucky Irving or Kenny Gainwell were to miss time. Fresh off their first win of the season, the Buccaneers will look to make it two victories in a row in Week 6 against the Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Robert Beal Jr. DE | MIA
Dolphins' Robert Beal: Won't play in Week 5
Beal (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Beal will miss a third consecutive game due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 2 against the 49ers. The Dolphins are on a bye for Week 6, so he'll have additional time to rest before Week 7 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 25.
-
Kalia Davis DT | CLE
Browns' Kalia Davis: Ruled out for Sunday
Davis (quadriceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
The Browns opened Davis' 21-day practice window Tuesday. The defensive tackle practiced throughout Week 5 prep but is not quite ready to return to the active roster after missing the first four games of the 2026 regular season.

Rashawn Slater OT | LAC
Chargers' Rashawn Slater: Moved to IR after surgery
The Chargers placed Slater (ankle) on injured reserve Friday.
Slater underwent ankle surgery Thursday after suffering a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. The left tackle will now need to miss at least four games on IR before the Chargers can return him to the active roster. With Slater out, Logan Taylor will be protecting Justin Herbert's blindside in the Chargers' Week 5 matchup against the Broncos.

James Thompson Jr. DT | SF
49ers' James Thompson: Won't play against Seattle
Thompson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
As expected, Thompson will miss a third consecutive game due to an ankle injury. He didn't practice once during Week 5 prep, so he'll need to return to the field to have a realistic shot of being available for Week 6 against the Commanders on Monday, Oct. 19. Naquan Jones and Sebastian Valdez will both see an uptick in rotational snaps at defensive tackle behind Osa Odighizuwa and Gracen Halton.

Chazz Surratt LB | SEA
Seahawks' Chazz Surratt: Ruled out with calf injury
Surratt (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Surratt will now miss consecutive weeks due to a calf injury. The inside linebacker was not able to practice throughout the week, similar to Week 4 prep. The Seahawks will continue to operate with less linebacker depth in Week 5 against the 49ers.
