The Seahawks waived Smith (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Smith had just signed with the team last month, but his tenure in Seattle has already come to an end. It's currently unclear what the exact nature of Smith's injury is, and he will look to catch on with a new team once healthy.

Bosa (knee) was limited in Tuesday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Bosa is nearly a full year out from ACL surgery, and defensive coordinator Raheem Morris has already said the star defensive end will play in Thursday's season opener against the Rams. Bosa has played only 17 regular-season games over the last two seasons combined, but the 28-year-old recorded 11.0 sacks in those contests.

The Lions waived Niese (leg) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Niese's tenure in Detroit has come to an end after he suffered a leg injury during the team's preseason finale against the Commanders. The 28-year-old will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.

The Colts waived Jones on Tuesday.

Jones is headed to waivers after spending the last three seasons in Indianapolis. The 2023 seventh-round pick racked up 18 tackles (13 solo) across 10 games during the 2023 campaign while playing on both defense and special teams, and will now look to catch on with another team.

Simmons (back) is in danger of missing Kansas City's matchup versus the Broncos on Monday, Matt McMullen of the team's official site reports.

Simmons picked up a back injury at some point during the offseason, leaving his status for the team's season opener up in the air. If the 2025 first-round pick ends up being unable to play, rookie undrafted free agent Kahlil Benson would likely be in line to start at left tackle against Denver.

Garrett (knee) did not practice Tuesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Garrett hasn't practiced much this summer, but coach Sean McVay has expressed no concern about the star edge rusher's availability for Thursday's opener against the 49ers. Garrett isn't someone who needs to practice much in order to play on game days, even as he adapts to a new defensive scheme following a June trade from Cleveland.

Allen (quadriceps) is not listed on the Rams' injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the 49ers, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Allen missed a few weeks of training camp with a quad injury but is all good for the opener. The tight end appeared in all 17 regular-season games last season, finishing with career highs in targets (33), catches (24), yards (208) and touchdowns (three) while playing 52 percent of the Rams' offensive snaps. He's expected to again be a big part of Los Angeles' heavy tight end usage in 2026, but Terrance Ferguson, Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee all profile as better pass-catching options.

Mustapha (hamstring) did not appear on the 49ers' injury report Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Mustapha was a full participant at practice Tuesday after dealing with a hamstring injury during the preseason. The 24-year-old is expected to operate as the team's starting strong safety in 2026, and he appears to be good to go for Thursday night's regular-season opener against Los Angeles.

Rourke (ribs) did not appear on the 49ers' injury report Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Rourke has fully recovered from the ribs injury that he suffered during the preseason. He will now be good to go for Thursday night's regular-season opener against the Rams in Australia.

Cowing (groin) did not appear on the 49ers' injury report Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Cowing was dealing with a groin injury to end the preseason but he now appears to have fully recovered. The wide receiver is set to operate as a special-teams asset with San Francisco in 2026, handling the primary punt returner role.
