Sheffield (undisclosed) was placed on the practice-squad injured list by Miami on Tuesday.

Sheffield will be ineligible to be elevated over the next four games. He's appeared in two games for the Dolphins this season, seeing 22 snaps on defense and another three on special teams.

The Titans placed Gaye (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Gaye will be sidelined for at least four weeks after suffering an injury during Sunday's loss to the Colts. The 26-year-old will now shift his focus to getting healthy after having recorded one solo tackle across two outings while playing on both defense and special teams.

The Bears placed Turner (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Turner suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the Bears' Week 8 loss to the Ravens. The second-round rookie's season ends after just five appearances in which he logged six tackles (six solo), including a pair of TFLs, on 74 defensive snaps.

Wiggins (groin) was a full participant at practice Tuesday.

Wiggins was only able to manage a limited practice Monday due to a groin issue but he now seems to be back to 100 percent ahead of Thursday's game. Baltimore should lean on him heavily to try to slow down the likes of Jaylen Waddle and Malik Washington in Week 9 at Miami.

Chubb (shoulder) was a limited participant at Tuesday's walkthrough, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Chubb has taken a step in the right direction after having been listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report. The starting defensive end said Tuesday that he anticipates suiting up for Thursday Night Football against the Ravens, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Still, Chubb may have to resume practicing in full Wednesday to avoid being assigned an injury designation for Week 9.

The Chargers designated Leonard (leg) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

The move opens Leonard's 21-day practice window. He's yet to appear in a game this season after being injured during the preseason. Tarheeb Still (knee), Cam Hart, Benjamin St-Juste and Donte Jackson have been handling the bulk of the cornerback duties for Los Angeles through eight weeks.

Tampa (shoulder) was a full participant at practice Tuesday.

Tampa was held out of some drills during practice Monday because of a shoulder injury, but it doesn't look like it was too serious. In Week 8 versus the Bears, all 20 of his snaps came on special teams, and he figures to play a similar role in Week 9 at Miami.

The 49ers acquired White and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Patriots on Tuesday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The Patriots selected White in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and the Georgia Tech product was an integral piece to New England's defensive line through his first two seasons with the organization. However, White saw his playing time dip over the course of the 2025 campaign, culminating in a healthy DNP for Week 8 against the Browns, per Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site. White's addition gives the 49ers added depth at defensive end, which is crucial given that Nick Bosa (knee) and Tarron Jackson (undisclosed) are both on injured reserve. The Niners' defensive line is also riddled with injuries to Bryce Huff (hamstring), Yetur Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring), Sam Okuayinonu (ankle), Jordan Elliott (ankle) and Alfred Collins (shoulder), which could force San Francisco to have White active for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Hill (ankle) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Hill appears on track to miss a second consecutive game, as Wednesday's practice session will represent the final opportunity for him to handle any on-field reps ahead of Thursday's home matchup against Baltimore. If Hill is unable to suit up, Tanner Conner and Greg Dulcich will once again fill in at tight end with Darren Waller (pectoral) on IR.

The Panthers signed Gipson off the 49ers practice squad Tuesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Gipson is headed to Carolina after logging two tackles (one solo) across four outings with San Francisco earlier this season. The 28-year-old should provide the Panthers with extra depth at linebacker, as Patrick Jones (back) is out for the remainder of the campaign.
