The Steelers acquired Dugger (knee) and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Patriots in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

After starting all 13 regular-season games in which he appeared last season, Dugger fell out of favor under the new coaching staff in New England and logged just 44 percent of the defensive snaps across the first seven weeks of the season before being inactive with a knee injury in Week 8. With DeShon Elliott (knee) looking at a multiweek absence, the Steelers needed another safety. Dugger joins Chuck Clark, Jabrill Peppers and Juan Thornhill at the position in Pittsburgh.

Davis (quadriceps) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Davis was also listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report. The starting safety was forced out of Miami's win over the Falcons in Week 8 during the team's first defensive series, and he now looks to be trending in the wrong direction for Thursday's matchup against Baltimore. Meanwhile, Ifeatu Melifonwu (hand) has been listed as "limited" on back-to-back practice reports.

Buchanan (calf) was a full participant at practice Tuesday.

Buchanan was limited at practice Monday due to a calf issue, but he's now back on track to suit up in Week 9. He projects to start at linebacker next to Roquan Smith against a pass-first Miami offense on Thursday.

The Giants cut Wells from the practice squad Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Wells spent the past couple weeks on the Giants' practice squad but will now look for a new opportunity elsewhere. Undrafted out of Ole Miss earlier this year, Wells has yet to appear in a regular-season contest.

The Patriots placed Corbin (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday.

The nature and severity of Corbin's injury aren't clear, but his placement on the practice squad IL means he is ineligible to be elevated to the Patriots' active roster for at least the next four games. Fellow running backs Rushawn Baker and Jonathan Ward were signed to New England's practice squad in corresponding moves.

Adebo (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is expected to miss multiple weeks, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Adebo missed Week 8 against the Eagles and appears likely to miss more game action. With Adebou out against Philadelphia, Deonte Banks logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps at cornerback, followed by Dru Phillips, Korie Black and Cor'Dale Flott.

The Patriots signed Ward to the practice squad Tuesday.

Ward was unable to make the Giants' 53-man roster at the end of training camp but will get a new opportunity with the Patriots as a member of the practice squad. Terrell Jennings has been elevated by the Patriots to the active roster three times, which is the maximum amount a team can do. As such, Ward and Rushawn Baker would be candidates for a game-day elevation if the Patriots require added backfield depth behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.

Pittsburgh cut Blackshear from the practice squad Tuesday.

Blackshear inked with the Steelers' practice squad Oct. 6, but he wasn't elevated for game action during his tenure with the team. The veteran running back logged a similar stint with Tennessee late September. Blackshear will now work to resurface as an emergency depth option elsewhere in the league.

The Dolphins placed Duck (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Duck suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's win over the Falcons. In addition to placing Duck on injured reserve, Miami signed CB Ethan Robinson to the practice squad and placed CB Kendall Sheffield (undisclosed) on the practice-squad injured list. With Duck done for the year, Jack Jones, JuJu Brents, Rasul Douglas and Ethan Bonner should handle the bulk of the cornerback duties.

The Bills signed Poyer off the practice squad Tuesday.

Poyer started at safety in Week 8 against the Panthers and logged five tackles (one solo) on 74 percent of the defensive snaps. With Taylor Rapp (knee) and Damar Hamlin (pectoral) on injured reserve, Poyer seems like a good bet to remain in the starting lineup.
