Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that it's "to early to tell" if Murray (foot) will be able to play in the Cardinals' next game Monday, Nov. 3 at Dallas following a Week 8 bye, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Gannon also reiterated that Murray will resume starting duties once he's healthy enough to do so. While the quarterback has missed the last two contests due to a mid-foot sprain, Jacoby Brissett has directed the offense and completing 52 of 80 passes for 599 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, while rushing nine times for 45 yards. Murray himself hasn't surpassed 220 passing yards in any of his five starts and has a 6:3 TD:INT so far this season.

The Patriots claimed Murphy off waivers from the Chargers on Monday.

Murphy will get a new opportunity with the Patriots after being waived by the Chargers on Saturday. The third-year linebacker logged 12 tackles (five solo) and a half sack across six games with the Chargers prior to being cut.

The Ravens will activate Jones (shoulder) from the reserve/non-football injury list this week, but he will not play Week 8 against the Bears, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Jones is being activated because his 21-day practice window closes this week. He's not yet been cleared to play following shoulder surgery back in March.

Coach Kyle Shanahan noted Monday that the 49ers will continue monitoring Pearsall (knee) ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Pearsall was unable to practice last week before being ruled out for the 49ers' Week 7 win over the Falcons. At this stage, the wideout's status for this weekend's game is cloudy, with added context regarding his chances of returning to the lineup set to arrive no later than Wednesday's injury report. In Pearsall's absence versus Atlanta, Jauan Jennings and Kendrick Bourne led the team's WR corps, with Demarcus Robinson, Malik Turner and Skyy Moore mixing in.

Allen secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 35-7 win against the Jaguars.

Allen, if nothing else, has been a model of consistency through the 2025 campaign; he's recorded either one or two targets and one or two receptions in all seven games he's played in. After starting the year with touchdowns in the first two contests, however, Allen has failed to find paydirt since. With a tepid 8-59-2 receiving line and Terrance Ferguson, Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee all sharing targets in a crowded tight-end room, Allen seems likely to continue his meager production. He'll face off against the Saints in Week 9 after enjoying a bye in Week 8.

Head coach Kellen Moore relayed Monday that McCoy sustained a season-ending biceps injury during the Saints' 26-14 loss to the Bears on Sunday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

McCoy tore his biceps during Sunday's loss, which will sideline the seventh-year offensive lineman for the rest of the 2025 season. His loss is a severe blow to the Saints' offense, as the 2019 second-rounder was named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two years. Luke Fortner entered Sunday's game following McCoy's exit, but it could be Cesar Ruiz who shifts over from right guard to center for the rest of the 2025 campaign.

Coach Kyle Shanahan noted Monday that the 49ers will continue monitoring Purdy (toe) ahead of this coming Sunday's game against the Texans, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, while acknowledging at this stage that the QB playing this weekend is viewed as a stretch, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Purdy last saw game action Week 4 and thus looks iffy, at best, to return this weekend, with added context on that front set to arrive no later than Wednesday when the 49ers return to practice. He was limited at practice last week before being ruled out for this past Sunday's 20-10 win over the Falcons, a game that marked Mac Jones' third straight start and fifth overall this season.

Head coach Pete Carroll relayed Monday that the Raiders are hoping to activate Johnson (leg) from injured reserve following the Week 8 bye, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.

Johnson opened the season on injured reserve after breaking his fibula during training camp in early August. The next step in his progression is to return to practice, so the Raiders could designate his 21-day window to return from IR during Week 9 prep. When Johnson returns, he projects to serve mostly on special teams while also providing rotational depth at safety.

Wentz (left shoulder) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.

Wentz initially injured his left non-throwing shoulder in Week 5 against the Browns but was able to suit up Sunday against the Eagles following a Week 6 bye. He completed 26 of 42 passes for 313 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions and tallied four carries for 28 yards. Wentz is averaging 268 passing yards per start and has a 5:4 TD:INT in his four-game starting stint in place of second-year signal-caller J.J. McCarthy, who remains in recovery mode from the high right-ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 2. McCarthy also was listed as limited Monday, but Wentz appears poised to lead Minnesota's offense again Thursday against the Chargers.

Ferguson secured one of three targets for 31 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 35-7 victory against the Jaguars.

The Oregon product showcased some of the talent that led to the Rams using a second-round pick on him in the fourth quarter, burning past safety Andrew Wingard and securing a fourth-down pass from Matthew Stafford for a touchdown. Ferguson's usage has been ticking up over the last few weeks, and he played 34 snaps on offense Sunday, a season high. For now, the Rams are content in using all four of their tight ends in rotation, which caps the upside of the talented rookie at the moment. The Rams are on bye next week before taking on the Saints in Week 9.
