The Packers signed Strong to the practice squad Monday.

The Packers cut Strong on Sunday as part of the team's effort to reach an initial 53-man roster. The running back promptly rejoined the team and will look to prove himself worthy of elevation to the active roster if MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks or Kaleb Johnson must miss time with injury.

Kennedy signed with the Lions' practice squad Monday.

Kennedy failed to make the Lions' 53-man roster and was released Sunday, but he'll stay in Detroit as a member of the team's practice squad. He signed with the Lions in May of 2019 as an undrafted free agent and has appeared in 30 regular-season games for the organization. Kennedy appeared in four regular-season games last year, contributing both on offense and special teams as a returner on kickoffs and punts.

Houston signed Mitchell-Paden to its practice squad Tuesday.

Mitchell-Paden cleared waivers after missing the cut for the Saints' initial 53-man roster, but now he's getting a fresh opportunity with the Texans. Barring injury to one of the five tight ends on Houston's current depth chart, there's little chance he'll see regular-season action any time soon.

The Panthers signed Reed to their practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Reed will stick around on Carolina's practice squad after being unable to earn a spot on the active roster. The 2025 undrafted free agent spent last season on the team's practice squad as well but didn't appear in any games, and will look to make his regular-season debut during the upcoming campaign.

Van Vooren signed a contract to join the Cowboys' practice squad Tuesday.

Van Vooren opened training camp with New England before being waived Aug. 18. He signed with Dallas less than a week later but was waived again Sunday. The Cowboys liked what they saw from Van Vooren enough during his brief stay with the team to sign him to their practice squad, where he'll serve as organizational depth at tight end.

The Lions signed Jackson to the practice squad Monday.

Jackson was signed by the Lions in mid-June and played well in the team's preseason finale against the Colts on Friday, when he caught five passes on as many targets for 94 yards. He didn't crack the 53-man roster and was waived by Detroit on Sunday, but he performed well enough in training camp and preseason games to be invited back by the Lions on the practice squad. Jackson last saw regular-season action in 2023 with the Vikings, when he mostly played on special teams across three regular-season games.

The Bengals signed Thomas to the practice squad Monday.

The Bengals waived Thomas during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver cleared waivers and joined the practice squad as a free agent. The undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M will now compete with Jordan Moore to be the primary wide receiver option for elevation to the active roster if it becomes necessary over the course of the regular season.

Chicago signed Richardson to its practice squad Monday.

As he did last year, Richardson will begin the regular season on the Bears' practice squad after missing the cut for their initial 53-man roster. He did dress for one game in 2025, but he's still waiting to record his first regular-season NFL snap.

The Cowboys signed Hudson to a practice-squad contract Tuesday.

Hudson linked up with Dallas as an undrafted free agent in early May. He performed well in preseason play, catching seven of eight targets for 120 yards and a touchdown over three games. Though Hudson was cut Sunday, he cleared waivers and will open the campaign on the Cowboys' practice squad.

The Broncos signed Katsis to the practice squad Monday.

Katsis didn't make the 53-man roster for the Broncos but will stay in Denver as a member of the practice squad. The 24-year-old went undrafted in 2026 after spending two collegiate seasons at Northern Arizona, where he most recently finished the 2025 campaign by amassing 60 catches for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns, adding five carries for 109 yards and a touchdown.
