Simpson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers but will serve as the team's emergency quarterback if needed.

Simpson will be inactive once again for Week 8. However, he will be eligible to play if Matthew Stafford and Stetson Bennett exit the contest due to injury, illness, or ejection.

Gadsden is active for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Rams.

The second-year tight end has had a relatively quiet first season to date in coordinator Mike McDaniel's offense, posting a 12-103-1 line on 21 targets through six games. Gadsden did get back on the Chargers' offense's radar before the Week 7 bye, recording three receptions for 17 yards on five targets over 33 snaps in Week 6 against the Chiefs after being blanked over 39 plays in Week 5 against the Broncos. It remains to be seen if Los Angeles, which declined to make a change at playcaller during the bye, cooked up some improvements during the idle week, and if Gadsden will be more involved moving forward after flashing plenty of upside as a rookie in 2025 with a 49-664-3 line across 15 regular-season contests.

Ferguson (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Joe Hoyt reports.

Prior to his exit, Ferguson wasn't targeted by QB Dak Prescott. In his absence versus Arizona, Brevyn Spann-Ford and James Mitchell are available to handle TE duties for the remainder of Sunday's contest.

Bourne won't return to Sunday's contest at Dallas due to a right high-ankle sprain, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Bourne went the locker room late in the first half Sunday, and his eventual diagnosis means he'll miss not only the rest of Sunday's matchup, but likely multiple games beyond Week 8. With Bourne sidelined, Reggie Virgil, Simi Fehoko and Devin Duvernay will be the Cardinals' WR options not named Michael Wilson.

Parkinson (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Chargers.

The veteran tight end has endured an injury-plagued season, and his current ribs issue cost him the first two practices of the week before he managed a limited session Friday. The injury will also lead to Parkinson's second absence of the campaign, and in his stead, Tyler Higbee should be in line for a slight increase in snaps and targets, although fourth-year tight end Davis Allen, who logged a season-high 50 snaps in Week 7 against the Raiders and recorded a pair of touchdown catches, will also stand to be a beneficiary.

Alford (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against Baltimore.

Alford practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, though he didn't participate in Thursday or Friday's session. With C.J. Gardner-Johnson (suspension) also unavailable, it should mean more work for Maxwell Hairston and Damar Hamlin.

Collins (elbow) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Collins was injured in the second quarter of Sunday's divisional clash with the Steelers. If he doesn't get back on the field in Week 8, it could mean more action from Mike Hall, who recently returned from a three-game absence caused by an ankle injury.

Knight headed to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Cowboys after sustaining an unspecified injury, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

With Jeremiyah Love (ankle) also having previously departed the contest, Tyler Allgeier is left to handle the Cardinals' RB duties. Before his exit, Knight carried three times for eight yards.

Bourne sustained an apparent right leg injury late in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Cowboys and headed to the locker room, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Bourne went down with the injury on a non-contact play while he was running a route. The Cardinals should have an update available on Bourne's status following halftime. He finished the first half with a 29-yard reception on two targets.

Diaby (knee) won't return to Sunday's game versus the Falconsm, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Initially listed as questionable, Diaby has since been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's divisional meeting with Atlanta. As a result, David Walker will presumably absorb most of Diaby's snaps the rest of the way.
