After missing Sunday's game against the Falcons with the Achilles issue, Evans appears to be trending toward a return for San Francisco's next contest in Week 9 against the Raiders. Working as the Niners' big-play X receiver this season, Evans has been nearly unstoppable when healthy. Maintaining health has been his biggest issue. When on the field, Evans is a fantasy WR2 with WR1 upside.

McCaffrey is dealing with a mild hamstring strain rather than a quadriceps injury, and the 49ers believe he'll be ready following the team's Week 8 bye, David Lombardi of SF Standard reports.

After McCaffrey briefly exited Sunday's loss to Atlanta with what had been described as a thigh issue, this update offers more clarity on the injury and a favorable outlook. The timing of the 49ers' bye gives the veteran running back added recovery time ahead of their next game in Week 9 versus the Raiders, though his practice status will still be worth monitoring once San Francisco returns to work. Kaelon Black will be a priority add off waivers considering CMC's injury history.

Evans (triceps/knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate.

With Jaycee Horn (quadriceps) and Mike Jackson (groin) both on injured reserve, Evans started in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, finishing with two total tackles (two solo). When asked Monday if Conner (foot) will play this season, coach Mike LaFleur said "potentially," Dani Sureck of the Cardinals' official site reports.

It's a typical LaFleur non-answer type of answer. It was reported two weeks ago that Conner was close to practicing, but there's been no indication his 21-day practice window is close to being opened by the Cardinals. There's not much room on the depth chart for another running back that doesn't play special teams in Arizona.

The Patriots cut Baringer (undisclosed) from injured reserve Monday.

Now healthy, the punter will look for work elsewhere, with Mitch Wishnowsky handling punting duties for New England. Baringer served as the team's punter for all 51 regular-season games across the 2023-25 seasons.

Dugger (quadriceps) won't play in Sunday's game against the Titans, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Dugger was injured in Sunday's 35-13 win over the Ravens and did not return. The 30-year-old will now miss at least one game, and while there will likely be more updates on his health moving forward, he should be considered week-to-week. Dugger hasn't seen consistent action on the defensive side of the ball, though his absence will be felt on special teams.

The Packers placed Monk (quadriceps) on injured reserve Monday.

A fifth-round pick in 2024, Monk started the first three games of the season at right guard and was called upon to man center Sunday against the Lions after Sean Rhyan exited with an ankle injury. With Rhyan out multiple weeks and Monk slated to miss at least four games, the Packers will likely turn to John Williams at center after he came on to play the first 58 offensive snaps of his career against Detroit on Sunday.

Golden (shoulder/foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports

After being limited last week due to a shoulder injury, Golden was able to suit up Sunday at Detroit, logging an 85 percent snap share and corralling six of 12 targets for 39 yards. As Week 8 prep kicks off, he's also tending to a foot issue. Golden will have two more chances to be listed as something other than DNP this week before the Packers potentially tag him with a designation for Thursday's game against the Panthers.

Cross underwent an MRI and was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Cross suffered the injury during Sunday's win over the Chiefs. While an official return date hasn't been established, there is hope he can get back on the field in "one or two weeks." With Cross on the shelf, Josh Jones is the favorite to start in Week 8 versus Chicago and beyond.
