Kirk (calf) remained sidelined at Saturday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

With Ricky Pearsall (knee, IR) out for the season, Kirk is a candidate to be involved early and often in the 49ers' passing game in his first season with the club, but a calf injury has kept him out of drills for nearly two weeks. Fellow WRs Mike Evans (quadriceps) and Jacob Cowing (hip) also sat out Saturday, so the current top healthy options at the position are Deebo Samuel, rookie second-rounder De'Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Watkins.

King picked up a hamstring injury during Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Cardinals, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

King played well in Thursday's exhibition game, completing 21 of 34 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns while turning three carries into 39 yards and a score in Carolina's 33-30 victory. However, it appears King tweaked his hamstring in the process, which could prompt the Panthers to bring in another quarterback like Kyle Trask and Jack Plummer for the rest of training camp, per Joe Person of The Athletic. King entered training camp listed as the Panthers' QB3 behind starter Bryce Young and backup Kenny Pickett.

Price didn't practice Friday due to "lower-body soreness," Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

In the early stages of training camp, Price has been handling first-team reps along with fellow RB George Holani. The breakdown of reps in the Seahawks backfield to start the season remains up in the air with Zach Charbonnet in recovery mode from his January ACL tear and Kenneth Walker now in Kansas City. The team invested a first-round pick in Price back in April, presumably with the expectation that he'd be the lead runner while Charbonnet is sidelined, but Holani and even free-agent pickup Emanuel Wilson also may be a part of game plans for Week 1 and beyond.

Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Saturday that he has not decided whether Bennett will play in the Rams' preseason opener against the Chiefs on Saturday, Aug. 15, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

McVay relayed that rookie first-rounder Ty Simpson will "definitely" play in the Rams' first exhibition game, though it's not clear whether Bennett or starter Matthew Stafford will also suit up. Bennett has not played in an NFL regular-season game since he was selected by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but he's projected to operate as Stafford's backup for the 2026 campaign, with Simpson serving as the QB3.

Thompson (hip) was cleared to participate in Saturday's training camp practice, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Thompson sat out of practice this past week while recovering from a hip injury, but he was given the green light to return for Saturday's practice. He was a fifth-round selection of the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft and spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with Arizona before signing a three-year deal with the Cowboys in March. Thompson figures to start alongside Malik Hooker at safety this season, with P.J. Locke (knee) and Markquese Bell providing depth at the position.

Adkins (undisclosed) did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Adkins left Friday's practice with a trainer, but the nature and severity of the injury is not clear. He appeared in nine regular-season games for the Broncos last year, finishing with six catches (on 11 targets) for 48 yards and a touchdown. Adkins is competing against rookie fifth-rounder Justin Joly for the TE3 role behind Evan Engram and Adam Trautman.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers continue to "be smart with" Evans (quadriceps), who didn't practice Saturday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Evans was able to work out on the side Saturday and looked close to 100 percent, per Wagoner, but as Shanahan clarified they won't press the veteran wide receiver back into action prematurely. Evans has been sidelined this week due to a minor quad strain, and with San Francisco's season opener still more than a month away Thursday, Sept. 10 against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia, he has plenty of time to prove his health for games that matter. Meanwhile, fellow WRs Christian Kirk (calf) and Jacob Cowing (hip) remain sidelined as well, leaving Deebo Samuel, rookie second-round pick De'Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Watkins as the top available players at the position.

Blackmon was removed from Saturday's training camp practice due to a knee injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Blackmon will undergo further tests to determine the severity of his injury and determine a recovery plan. The seventh-year safety played only in Week 1 of the 2025 season and spent the rest of the year on the IR due to a torn labrum. Blackmon and Jonas Sanker are competing for a starting spot at safety next to Justin Reid.

Bailey sustained an ankle injury during Saturday's training camp practice, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.

The positive news is that Bailey's injury is considered a day-to-day issue, which head coach Aaron Glenn communicated to reporters following Saturday's practice. Bailey's practice participation over the coming days should shed some light on his chances of playing in Friday's preseason opener against the Buccaneers. He was a first-round selection of the Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft and is expected to start at defensive end opposite Will McDonald.

Neal did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice due to a hamstring injury, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

Neal tweaked his hamstring during Thursday's practice, and the injury prevented him from participating in Saturday's session. The 2025 sixth-rounder is currently listed as the Saints' RB3, but an extended absence could open the window for Ty Chandler, Kendre Miller (back) or Audric Estime to take the No. 3 job. Neal will aim to be available for the Saints' preseason opener against the Jaguars on Saturday, Aug. 15.
