  • Braxton Jones OT | CHI

Bears' Braxton Jones: Hurt during training camp

Jones (undisclosed) left Chicago's training camp practice with trainers Thursday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The details of what happened to Jones are unknown, but it's something the Bears will be keeping a close eye on in the coming days. As long as he and 2025 second-rounder Ozzy Trapilo (knee) remain unavailable, Kiran Amegadjie projects to fill in at left tackle.

  • Beaux Collins WR | ATL

Giants' Beaux Collins: Reverts to IR

Collins (concussion) reverted to the Giants' injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Collins is set to spend the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The wide receiver out of Notre Dame played in nine regular-season games for the Giants during his rookie season, logging two receptions for 25 yards over 84 offensive snaps.

  • Princeton Fant TE | DAL

Cowboys' Princeton Fant: Moved to IR

The Cowboys placed Fant (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.

Fant suffered a torn ACL and sprained MCL, eliminating any chance for the tight end to participate in the 2026 season. He is scheduled to have surgery for both injuries within the next several days. The fourth-year player out of Tennessee has played in 11 career regular-season games and will be a free agent in 2027. In a corresponding move, the Cowboys claimed tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Raiders.

  • Abdul Carter LB | NYG

Giants' Abdul Carter: Participating at training camp

Carter (ankle) has returned to action at training camp with the Giants, Dan Salomone and Matt Citak of the team's official website reports.

Carter was dealing with a sprained ankle during the Giants' OTAs in early June, but he now appears to have fully recovered from the injury. The 22-year-old is coming off of a rookie campaign during which he compiled 43 total tackles (25 solo), including 4.0 sacks, while also recording two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries over 17 regular-season contests.

  • Jevon Holland SAF | NYG

Giants' Jevon Holland: Participating in training camp

Holland (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's training camp session, John Schmeelk of the Giants' official site reports.

Holland missed the Giants' 2025 regular-season finale due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 17. The free safety is back in full pads and ready to reclaim his spot with the first-team defense. Holland finished the 2025 season with 63 tackles (38 solo) and five passes defensed, including one interception, over 14 regular-season contests.

  • Zack Kuntz TE | DAL

Cowboys' Zack Kuntz: Claimed by Cowboys

Dallas claimed Kuntz off waivers Thursday.

Kuntz was bound to become a free agent after Las Vegas waived him Wednesday, but the Cowboys stepped in before that could come to pass. In a corresponding transaction, Dallas placed tight end Princeton Fant (knee) on its injured-reserve list.

  • Saints' Brock Rechsteiner: Suspended to start season

Rechsteiner (suspension) will miss the first six games of the 2026 regular season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Rechsteiner will be eligible to participate in all preseason activities, with his suspension beginning once rosters are reduced to 53 players. The league did not disclose what rules the undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State violated. If Rechsteiner does not make the Saints roster, the suspension will still run its course while he is a free agent.

  • Jake Bobo WR | SEA

Seahawks' Jake Bobo: Dealing with hamstring issue

Bobo (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday's training camp session, Gregg Bell of thenewstribune.com reports.

Bobo has yet to practice this week after suffering a hamstring injury during Monday's session. There is no update on the 28-year-old's recovery timeline, but his absence makes way for Emmanuel Henderson and Cody White to garner additional reps in practice.

  • Eric Watts DE | NYJ

Jets' Eric Watts: Moving to IR

Watts (undisclosed) reverted from waivers to the Jets' injured reserve list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Watts was not claimed by another club after the Jets waived him with an undisclosed injury Wednesday, so he's now in line to spend the entire 2026 season on IR. His absence could open up more practice opportunities for Kingsley Jonathan and Paschal Ekeji.

  • Kyler Gordon CB | CHI

Bears' Kyler Gordon: Remains frustrated by calf injury

Gordon is continuing to rehab from the calf issue he picked up during the offseason, Mike Moraitis of Sports Illustrated reports.

Gordon was placed on the active/PUP list with a soft-tissue injury when the Bears kicked off training camp, and there still hasn't been any update on a timeline for his return to the field. He was only able to suit up for three regular-season games in 2025, and his availability for Week 1 of the 2026 campaign certainly seems to be in question at the moment.
