Josh Kattus TE | CIN
Bengals' Josh Kattus: Makes camp debut
The Bengals activated Kattus (undisclosed) off the active/non-football injury list Thursday.
Kattus suffered an undisclosed injury before training camp that rendered him unable to participate in the Bengals' first week of activities. The tight end has since passed his physical and was able to practice with the team Thursday. Now healthy, the undrafted free agent out of Kentucky will have to make up for lost time and make an impact to have any chance of making the 53-man roster.

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles LB | BUF
Bills' Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles: Moved to IR
The Bills placed Flannigan-Fowles (undisclosed) on injured reserve Thursday.
Flannigan-Fowles signed a one-year deal with the Bills in late May. The linebacker was a key depth piece for the Giants in 2025, participating in 10 regular-season games and logging 33 tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one interception. The 29-year-old was a key depth addition to a new Bills linebacker room as the team shifts to a 3-4 defensive front. Unfortunately, Flanagan-Fowles' placement on injured reserve means his season is over unless he is given one of just two designations to return once the regular season commences.

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson SAF | BUF
Bills' C.J. Gardner-Johnson: Back to practice
Gardner-Johnson (calf) was a full participant in Thursday's training camp session, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Gardner-Johnson participated in both individual and team drills Thursday, making a quick recovery from the calf strain he'd suffered in Saturday's practice. The veteran safety should be able to participate without restrictions moving forward as he gears up to play a key role in the Bills' secondary this coming season.

Jalon Walker LB | ATL
Falcons' Jalon Walker: Moves to injured reserve
The Falcons officially placed Walker (knee) on injured reserve Thursday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.
Walker was carted off the field at the end of Tuesday's practice, and he was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee a day later, thereby putting an end to his second campaign. He made an impact as a 2025 first-round pick last year, totaling 36 tackles, including 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass defense in 15 regular-season games. The likes of Cameron Thomas, Samson Ebukam and Azeez Ojulari are poised for more pass-rush reps alongside starter James Pearce this season.

Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: Lands three-year extension
The Lions and Gibbs (back) agreed to terms on a three-year extension Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The $67.5 million deal can be worth up to $75.75 million and includes $51.5 million guaranteed, barely surpassing Bijan Robinson's extension (three years, $66.75 million and $51 million guaranteed) with the Falcons from earlier this week to make the former the highest-paid running back in the NFL. Gibbs has racked up 3,768 yards from scrimmage and 38 touchdowns in 34 regular-season games over the last two campaigns, so the investment made in him by Detroit is warranted. He'll continue to operate as the engine of the Lions offense for the foreseeable future.

George Pickens WR | DAL
Cowboys' George Pickens: Taking part in Thursday's practice
Pickens is taking part in Thursday's training camp practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Pickens failed to reach an agreement on a new deal with the Cowboys in the offseason and will play on the one-year, $23.7 million franchise tag in 2026. He and CeeDee Lamb are set to form one of the NFL's most formidable wide receiver duos while catching passes from quarterback Dak Prescott. Pickens is healthy but unlikely to see much action in the preseason, which kicks off for the Cowboys in Seattle on Aug. 15.

De'Zhaun Stribling WR | SF
49ers' De'Zhaun Stribling: Limited in return to practice
In his return to practice Thursday, Stribling (hamstring) didn't take part in team drills, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Stribling had been missing practice due to hamstring tightness, but his return to the field Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity, bodes well for a return to full participation before long. In the wake of Ricky Pearsall's season-ending knee injury, Stribling has a chance to see notable snaps as a rookie while working in 49ers WR corps that also features Mike Evans (quad), Deebo Samuel and Christian Kirk (calf).

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Should be back in 4-5 days
Coach Sean Payton noted Thursday of Waddle, who left Wednesday's practice with muscle tightness, "I think we'll see him back in the next 4-5 days," Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Per Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, Payton said that Waddle is dealing with a "strain," though it's unclear which muscle is affected. According to Zac Stevens of DNVRSports and Luca Evans of The Denver Post, Waddle -- who did extended rehab/side-field work Thursday -- was spotted with a limp in the process, but based on Payton's comments, the wideout isn't expected to miss extended time ahead of Denver's Aug. 14 preseason opener.

Courtland Sutton WR | DEN
Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Healthy per head coach
Head coach Sean Payton clarified after Thursday's practice that Sutton isn't injured, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports.
Sutton worked on a side field Thursday following days off Tuesday and Wednesday. The veteran wide receiver is simply getting some time to rest ahead of his ninth season with the Broncos, and Payton said Thursday that Sutton will ramp up his activity in Friday's walkthrough as the Broncos prepare for their Aug. 14 preseason opener in Atlanta.

Courtland Sutton WR | DEN
Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Works on side field Thursday
Sutton, who was given his second consecutive off day Wednesday, per Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com, worked on a side field during position drills Thursday, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports.
On Wednesday, coach Sean Payton indicated that Sutton would practice Thursday, and while the wideout was out there, as expected, he didn't appear to be working fully. With no injury having been reported thus far, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post suggests that this could simply be a load management week for Sutton, with added context regarding his status set to arrive during the Broncos' next practice.
