  • Bills' Shaq Thompson: Limited in Wednesday's walkthrough

Thompson (neck) was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

Thompson sustained a neck injury during the first quarter of the Bills' Week 16 win over the Browns, which prevented him from returning to the game. His ability to practice in a limited capacity -- albeit in a walkthrough -- indicates the veteran linebacker is day-to-day. Thompson would likely need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid an injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Eagles.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Bills' Matt Prater: Deemed DNP in Wednesday walkthrough

Prater (quadriceps) was labeled as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough.

Prater missed Buffalo's win over the Browns this past Sunday while dealing with a quad injury. Coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that it's unclear if the veteran kicker will be able to return Sunday versus the Eagles, and his DNP status for Wednesday's walkthrough doesn't provide much insight in that regard. If Prater is unable to play against Philadelphia, Michael Badgley would likely handle kicking duties again.

  • Bills' Jordan Phillips: DNP to open Week 17 prep

Phillisp (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

Phillips sustained an ankle injury during the Bills' Week 15 win over the Patriots, which caused him to miss this past Sunday's victory over the Browns. His DNP to open the week isn't a good sign, but he would give himself a chance to play this Sunday against the Eagles if he were to log at least a limited practice Friday.

  • DaQuan Jones DE | BUF

Bills' DaQuan Jones: Misses Wednesday's practice

Jones (calf) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

The 33-year-old played through his calf issue in the Week 16 win over the Browns, recording four total tackles and an interception across 41 defensive snaps. Jones likely needs to upgrade to full practice participation Thursday or Friday in order to avoid an injury designation in the Week 17 matchup against the Eagles on Sunday.

  • Joey Bosa DE | BUF

Bills' Joey Bosa: Logs DNP on Wednesday

Bosa (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

The 30-year-old played through a hamstring issue in the Bills' Week 16 win over the Browns, so Wednesday's DNP is likely precautionary. Bosa is an integral part of Buffalo's defensive line, recording 27 total tackles, including 5.0 sacks, five forced fumbles and two passes defensed over 14 appearances this season. He likely needs to upgrade to at least limited practice Thursday or Friday in order to suit up for the Week 17 matchup against the Eagles.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Dealing with knee issue

Knox (knee) was deemed a non-participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough.

Knox may have hurt his knee in Sunday's win over the Browns, though he played his usual amount (68 percent offensive snap share). Buffalo held a walkthrough Wednesday, so more clarity should come regarding Knox's status over the next two days. If Knox ends up unable to play Sunday against Philadelphia, Dalton Kincaid (knee) would likely see even more work as the No. 1 tight end (if he's able to play) while Jackson Hawes could have a larger role as well.

  • Brock Bowers TE | LV

Raiders' Brock Bowers: Move to IR official

The Raiders placed Bowers (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday.

Bowers kicked off his second pro campaign by suffering a knee injury Week 1, and while he eventually sat out Weeks 5-7, he surpassed 100 receiving yards only one more time through Week 16. Now that his season is officially over, he'll finish it with a 64-680-7 line on 86 targets in 12 contests. Bowers will yield TE reps to Michael Mayer, Ian Thomas and Carter Runyon for the final two games.

  • Falcons' Clark Phillips: Set to return to practice

The Falcons designated Phillips (triceps) for return from IR on Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

Phillips has played in just one game this season -- Week 4 against Washington, when he logged nine special-teams snaps and suffered a triceps injury. He was placed on injured reserve Oct. 18 and has been there since. Phillips will now have his 21-day practice window opened and can be activated at any time, but with just two games remaining on Atlanta's schedule, it remains to be seen if he'll get into a game before the regular season is over.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Another absence Wednesday

Jackson (back) was absent at Wednesday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson has yet to mix into any drills since he exited this past Sunday's loss to the Patriots in the second quarter due to what eventually has been described as a back contusion. He thus has just one more chance to practice this week before the Ravens potentially make a ruling on his status for Saturday's game at Green Bay. Tyler Huntley is lined up to start for the Ravens in Week 17 if Jackson ultimately is unable to suit up.

  • Malik Willis QB | MIA

Packers' Malik Willis: DNP due to illness

Willis (right shoulder) missed practice Wednesday due to an illness, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

The Packers' top two quarterbacks are dealing with health concerns in the wake of Saturday's loss at Chicago, but Jordan Love (concussion) was able to take part in drills Wednesday, while Willis was absent due to something unrelated to the right shoulder injury he suffered late in Week 16. Willis is the favorite to get the start this Saturday against the Ravens if Love can't make it through the protocol for head injuries, but the former's new ailment adds another element to the QB situation in Green Bay.
