Malick Meiga: Waived with injury settlement

Carolina waived Meiga (undisclosed) from its injured reserve list with an injury settlement Wednesday, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports. Meiga was on track to spend the entire 2026 season on IR, but he'll now hit free agency instead if he clears waivers. The rookie undrafted free agent out of Coastal Carolina will be eligible to suit up for any team willing to sign him once he's back in football shape.

Panthers' Malick Meiga: Reverts to IR

Meiga (undisclosed) reverted to the Panthers' injured-reserve list Monday, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports. The Panthers waived/injured Meiga on Sunday, and the wide receiver went unclaimed throughout the waiver process. Meiga will now spend the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement.
