  • Bo Melton WR | GB

Packers' Bo Melton: Leaves game with stinger

Melton is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets due to a stinger.

Melton went without a reception on his lone target before sustaining the stinger.

  • Dell Pettus SAF | NE

Patriots' Dell Pettus: Won't return to Sunday's game

Pettus (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Pettus exited the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury. The safety will not reenter the contest, leaving Jaylen Reed and Kevin Byard as the two healthy safeties for the Patriots.

  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Good to go against Miami

Pineiro (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Pineiro drew the questionable tag due to an illness, but he's been cleared to play in Sunday's home opener. He went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and connected on all three of his extra-point tries during the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Rams.

  • 49ers' Jordan Watkins: Won't play against Miami

Watkins (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Watkins will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game, and his next chance to play is Week 3 against the Cardinals on Sept. 27. Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and Demarcus Robinson will lead the 49ers' wide receiver group in Week 2.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Vikings' Aaron Jones: Departs Sunday with knee injury

Jones exited Sunday's game against the Bears in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury and is questionable to return.

Jones carried 18 times for 85 yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game before he headed to the medical tent to get his knee checked out, per Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune. The Vikings were already without Jordan Mason (thumb) after placing him on injured reserve Wednesday, and if Jones is unable to finish the Week 2 contest, the team would be left with Demond Claiborne and DeeJay Dallas as its healthy backfield options.

  • Eli Raridon TE | NE

Patriots' Eli Raridon: Won't return Sunday

Raridon (thigh) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Raridon exited the game after hauling in a 30-yard pass from Drake Maye. The catch that caused the tight end to enter the medical tent was his only target in the contest.

  • 49ers' Kurtis Rourke: Emergency QB3 for Week 2

Rourke (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins but will serve as the emergency third quarterback.

As the emergency third quarterback, Rourke is not allowed to play Sunday unless both starter Brock Purdy and backup Mac Jones were to leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Cardinals' Andrew Billings: Inactive for Week 2

Billings (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against Seattle.

Billings was added to Thursday's injury report due to a knee injury, which is severe enough for him to miss Sunday's NFC West tilt. L.J. Collier will serve as the Cardinals' top rotational defensive tackle behind starters Roy Lopez and Walter Nolen in Billings' absence.

  • Brady Cook QB | MIA

Dolphins' Brady Cook: Emergency QB again for Week 2

Cook (coach's decision) is inactive as the Dolphins' emergency third quarterback for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Cook will be the emergency option behind Malik Willis and Kyle McCord, set to enter the game only if both active players cannot continue to play. The quarterback will likely remain in this role unless he outperforms McCord enough to gain the backup spot.

  • Caleb Williams QB | CHI

Bears' Caleb Williams: Exits Sunday's game

Williams left Sunday's game against the Vikings with an apparent right leg injury, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Williams' right leg gave out under him as he scrambled to his left toward the end zone in the middle of the fourth quarter. He needed assistance to get to the sideline, and if he's unable to return, he'll finish Week 2 action with 138 yards, no touchdowns and one interception on 15-for-26 passing and five carries for 42 yards.
