  Gallagher tallied twice during Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit. Gallagher's 14th and 15th goals of the season are too little too late, as Montreal will miss the playoffs and his totals continue an offensive decline from the 30-goal, 50-point campaigns of his mid-20s. While there's still depth value in his game, he's only also seen a career-low in ice time with 13:47 per game, which has likely contributed to his diminished returns.

  Gallagher scored two goals and registered an assist in a 9-3 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday. It was Gallagher's first three-point game of the 2023-24 campaign. He's up to 13 goals and 26 points in 73 outings this season. Although Gallagher did surpass the 50-point milestone in back-to-back campaigns in 2017-18 and 2018-19, the 31-year-old has played a limited role this season (13:48 of ice time per contest) and consequently hasn't made consistent offensive contributions.

  Gallagher had two assists and four shots on net in Thursday's 7-4 loss to Tampa Bay. The second line combined for Montreal's first two goals, both scored by Joel Armia and assisted by Gallagher and Alex Newhook. It was Gallagher's fourth multi-point effort of the season and his first since Nov. 4. The 31-year-old has remained healthy for the first time since 2018-19 -- he's been in the lineup for every game except for five due to a suspension. Nonetheless, Gallagher is no longer much of a fantasy asset at this stage in his career -- he has just 23 points through 70 games this season.

The physical winger has just 11 goals and 21 points through 65 games with an ugly minus-25 rating. He's posting the lowest points-per-game total of his career.

  Gallagher scored a goal on four shots, blocked two shots and picked up four penalty minutes in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Columbus. Gallagher scored the game-winning goal just 21 seconds into the game when he redirected a pass from Jake Evans. It was the third goal in the last eight games for Gallagher, who is up to 11 tallies for the season, his most since 2020-21.
