Andersson signed a two-year contract with EHC Biel of the Swiss League on Thursday. Andersson spent the 2023-24 season with AHL Laval, picking up 21 goals and 45 points in 53 games. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Andersson has played only 110 games at the NHL level since being drafted by the Rangers, scoring seven goals and adding 10 assists over that span.

Andersson was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval. Andersson signed a two-way deal with Montreal in the offseason after playing just one game with Los Angeles last season. The 24-year-old forward had an impressive year with AHL Ontario, however, tallying 31 goals and 59 points in 67 games. If Andersson clears waivers, he'll serve as organizational depth for Montreal in the 2023-24 campaign.

Andersson signed a one-year, two-way contract with Montreal on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Andersson was available on the open market after the Kings chose not to tender him a qualifying offer. The 24-year-old forward notched 31 goals and 59 points in 67 games with AHL Ontario last season. Andersson, who was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Rangers, has only seven goals and 17 points in 110 career NHL appearances. He will probably spend most of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors.

Andersson, along with five other players, was summoned by LA on Thursday. Andersson, Andre Lee, Samuel Helenius, Jacob Moverare and Jordan Spence were all promoted from AHL Ontario. The Kings also called up Francesco Pinelli from OHL Kitchener. All of them are likely to serve as black aces and not draw into the lineup unless LA runs into injury problems. Andersson had 31 goals and 59 points in 67 AHL regular-season contests. The 24-year-old's also a veteran of 110 career NHL contests, contributing seven goals and 17 points in that span.

Andersson was loaned to AHL Ontario on Tuesday. Andersson made his season debut with the Kings on Sunday against Ottawa, logging 8:37 of ice time and posting one shot on goal. Los Angeles has brought up forward Samuel Fagemo ahead of Tuesday's tilt with Seattle.
