• Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Recalled from minors

  Ivan was elevated from AHL Colorado on Friday. Ivan's promotion doesn't come as a surprise, as the Avs continue to shuffle guys between levels as part of cap-saving measures. While the 22-year-old center has seen time in a top-six role periodically this season, he will likely find himself further down the depth chart with Miles Wood, Valeri Nichushkin and Jonathan Drouin all back in action Friday. This likely won't be the last shift to the minors for Ivan this year.

  Ivan was recalled by the Avalanche on Monday. Ivan was sent to AHL Colorado on Sunday, but he'll rejoin the NHL club a day later to provide additional help while the Avalanche deal with a slew of injuries. Over 12 appearances with the Avalanche this year, Ivan has tallied two goals and two assists while averaging 11:11 of ice time.

  Ivan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Sunday. Ivan will head back to the AHL following Artturi Lehkonen's return from IR. The 22-year-old Ivan was solid in his first NHL stint, tallying two goals and four points in 12 games.

  Ivan scored a power-play goal and took six shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Lightning. Ivan has found the back of the net twice this season, and coincidentally, both goals have come with the man advantage. Even though he has cracked the scoresheet in three of his last five appearances, Ivan isn't expected to hold a prominent role on offense for the Avs -- even if he plays on the second line and the first power-play unit.

  Ivan scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 5-1 win over Utah. Ivan cashed in on his opportunity with the first power-play unit after Ross Colton (hand) left the game. The goal was Ivan's first in the NHL, to go with two assists, nine shots on net and a plus-2 rating through eight appearances. The Avalanche sent Calum Ritchie back to the OHL on Wednesday, so Ivan appears to have a bit more security in regards to staying in the lineup.
