  Tomasino scored a power-play goal and added two hits in Monday's 7-3 win over the Flyers. A one-game absence due to an upper-body injury took Tomasino's offense off track earlier in December. He snapped a six-game point drought with his tally Monday, his fourth goal in 12 contests as a Penguin. The forward has six points, 42 shots on net, 19 hits and a minus-3 rating over 23 appearances between Pittsburgh and Nashville this season. Tomasino continues to fill a middle-six role.

  Tomasino (upper body) will play against Colorado on Tuesday, according to Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Following a one-game absence, Tomasino will return to action. Since being acquired from Nashville, he has three goals and one assist in five games for Pittsburgh. Tomasino will replace Jesse Puljujarvi in Tuesday's lineup.

  Tomasino (upper body) took the ice in a non-contact sweater Monday, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports. Tomasino was classified by head coach Mike Sullivan on Saturday as day-to-day but the fact that he hasn't been cleared for contact certainly makes him a doubt heading into Tuesday's game against Colorado. Prior to getting hurt, the 23-year-old center was riding a four-game point streak during which he racked up three goals, one assists and 15 shots while slotting into a second-line role alongside Evgeni Malkin. With Tomasino shelved, Cody Glass moved into the second-line spot and will likely continue to play there if Tomasino can't suit up Tuesday.
