Burns notched an assist in Friday's 3-1 loss to Washington. Burns produced the secondary assist on Seth Jarvis' third-period goal to end Charlie Lindgren's shutout bid. The helper snapped a three-game point drought for Burns. The right-shot blueliner's offensive output has decreased at 39 years old, and he's currently on pace for just 23 points. The 2003 first-round selection's value would increase if he was the quarterback of the No. 1 power-play unit, but Shayne Gostisbehere has filled that role admirably with 18 points on the man advantage in 2024-25.

Burns scored a goal on three shots and blocked five shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Sharks. Burns tied the game at 2-2 early in the third period. The 39-year-old has picked up three points and 16 shots on net over his last eight games, which isn't much, but it's better than the nine-game stretch that preceded it, which saw him earn no points and fire 12 shots on goal. The veteran defenseman has two goals, six assists, 56 shots, 40 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 28 appearances, though he continues to average 21:32 of ice time in a top-four role.

Burns notched an assist and blocked three shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche. Burns' offense hasn't been consistent this season -- he ended a four-game slump with this helper. The defenseman is now at seven points, 51 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 26 appearances. While he can help in other areas, it's unlikely the 39-year-old gets back to a 40-point pace over the remainder of the season, so his fantasy value will be low.

Burns scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 6-4 win over the Stars. Prior to Monday, Burns had come up empty on 40 shots, one of three players with that unfortunate reality. He snapped his droughts with a game-tying goal in the third period, his first tally of the season and first point since Nov. 5 versus the Flyers. The 39-year-old blueliner has maintained a top-four role but has just six points to go with 42 shots, 27 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 21 outings.

Burns notched two assists in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Flyers. Both helpers came in the second period, giving Burns his first multi-point performance of the season. The veteran blueliner began the year with a five-game point drought, but since then he's racked up five points -- all assists -- in the last six contests.
