Kraken's Curtis Douglas: Linking up with Seattle
Douglas signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Kraken on Wednesday.
Douglas got his first taste of NHL action during the 2025-26 campaign, making 43 regular-season appearances between Tampa Bay and Vancouver. During that time, he recorded a goal, three assists, 108 PIM, 64 hits and 12 blocked shots while averaging 6:45 of ice time. He'll likely be in the mix to maintain an NHL role with his new team.

Kraken's Mackie Samoskevich: Inks three-year contract
Samoskevich signed a three-year, $11.55 million contract with the Kraken on Wednesday.
Samoskevich was a restricted free agent after completing his one-year, $775,000 contract for the 2025-26 campaign. The 23-year-old had 12 goals and 32 points in 77 outings with Florida in 2025-26, and the Panthers dealt him to Seattle on Sunday. Samoskevich is likely to serve in a middle-six capacity with the Kraken in 2026-27.

Kraken's JR Avon: Lands two-way agreement
Avon signed a one-year, two-way contract with Seattle on Monday.
During the 2025-26 campaign with AHL Coachella Valley, Avon supplied 10 goals and 24 points in 45 regular-season games before adding seven tallies and one assist in 12 playoff outings. He doesn't have any NHL playing time yet, and it wouldn't be surprising if he spends most of 2026-27 in the minors.

Kraken's Lleyton Roed: Signs one-year deal
Roed signed a one-year, two-way contract with Seattle on Monday.
Roed had 11 goals and 38 points in 65 regular-season appearances for AHL Coachella Valley in 2025-26. He also chipped in three goals and seven points in 12 games during the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs. The 23-year-old forward will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

Kraken's Viktor Fedorov: Round 4 pick of Seattle
Fedorov was the 99th overall pick by Seattle in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
No relation to the Hall of Fame former Red Wing of the same name, Fedorov played in three different leagues in Russia this past season, highlighted by a 13-game stint in the KHL, where he had a goal and four points. The fact that a 5-foot-10, 175-pound, 18-year-old not only played at that level but also contributed is a very positive sign. Fedorov plays hard with above-average speed and can make plays. The jury obviously remains out, but this looks like a shrewd pick by Seattle. Fedorov will likely remain in Russia to continue his development.

Kraken's Casey Mutryn: BC commit off to Seattle
Mutryn was the 38th overall pick by Seattle in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Scouts are largely split on Mutryn's pro future. His backers see an athletic, 6-foot-3 kid with great bloodlines (his father spent time in the NFL) who has developed more offense than expected in recent years. Mutryn's detractors seem to think his vision and playmaking skills are severely lacking, as he struggles to play with pace and is best suited as a bottom-six grinder. What's not up for debate is the fact that Mutryn has versatility on his side, having spent time playing both center and wing in the past. The Norwell, Massachusetts native is a 2027-28 Boston College commit.

Kraken's Chase Reid: Steal at seventh at NHL Draft
Reid was the seventh overall pick by Seattle in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Friday.
Reid is the best defender in the 2026 class, but he was a surprise drop to the fourth blueliner off the board. He projects as a true top-pairing guy who can run a power play and make stops on the PK if his team chooses to deploy him there. Reid is a righty who is aggressive on offense and has a great shot. That's pretty much a ticket to stardom in the NHL. Will he be the next Jakob Chychrun? Maybe, but you need to know that it took eight seasons for Chychrun to top the 40-point mark. Reid's development curve has been among this class's best over the last few seasons, and he was one of the best players overall in the OHL this past season. If he continues that growth, Reid will be dishing pucks in Seattle sooner rather than later, and his gift of always finding shooter's sweet spots on the PP will mean a lot of electric one-timers for a forward corps that haven't played with his kind of talent.

Kraken's Bobby McMann: Staying in Seattle
McMann signed a six-year, $34.5 million contract with the Kraken on Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
McMann was traded to Seattle from Toronto on the day of the 2026 trade deadline, and the 30-year-old made a good impression on the team he's locked in with for the foreseeable future. The 30-year-old forward potted 10 goals in just 18 games with the Kraken, a team that was in need of scoring help. In total, McMann registered 29 goals, 46 points, 183 shots and 165 hits over 78 games between the Kraken and Maple Leafs in 2025-26. The Alberta native will probably start the 2026-27 season in a middle-six role, but McMann is capable of playing up and down the lineup.

Kraken's Mackie Samoskevich: Acquired in trade
Seattle acquired Samoskevich from Florida on Sunday in exchange for the No. 25 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft and a conditional 2027 second-round selection.
Samoskevich accumulated 12 goals, 32 points, 161 shots on net and 136 hits across 77 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. The 23-year-old will be in the mix for a middle-six role with the Kraken, and he will also likely see power-play time in the 2026-27 season.

Kraken's Logan Morrison: Staying with Seattle
Morrison signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Kraken on Thursday.
Per Sound of Hockey, it's a two-way contract that will allow Morrison to avoid restricted free agency this summer. The 23-year-old will remain with Seattle either way after taking a big step forward in his third professional season. He had 29 goals, 32 assists and a plus-23 rating over 68 regular-season outings with AHL Coachella Valley, and he added six points in 12 playoff contests. Morrison could be given a look with the big club in 2026-27, but he hasn't seen NHL action since the 2023-24 campaign, when he suited up in four games.

Kraken's Alexis Bernier: Pens entry-level deal
Bernier agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Seattle on Tuesday.
Bernier was limited to just 21 regular-season games with QMJHL Chicoutimi this season, recording four goals and eight assists before adding seven points in 20 postseason clashes. The 19-year-old winger will need more time developing before he gets a shot at an NHL roster, so fantasy managers in dynasty formats will need to be patient.

Kraken's Niklas Kokko: Steps up with shutout
Kokko posted a 33-save shutout in AHL Coachella Valley's 4-0 win over Colorado in Game 2 on Friday.
Kokko has gone 6-4 with two shutouts, a 2.40 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 10 games this postseason. The netminder is locked in as the Firebirds' top option between the pipes. He'll likely spend most of 2026-27 in the AHL, though he could push for the backup job in the NHL with a strong training camp.

Kraken's JR Avon: Pots pair for Firebirds
Avon scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 4-0 win over Colorado in Game 2 on Friday.
Avon helped the Firebirds even the series, opening the scoring at 1:20 of the third period before adding an insurance marker later in the frame. He's now at seven goals, one assist and a minus-2 rating over 10 playoff contests, shooting 29.2 percent in the postseason compared to 14.3 percent in the regular season.

Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Joining Team Germany
Grubauer (lower body) will take part in the 2026 IIHF World Championship with Germany, the team announced Tuesday.
Grubauer missed the last six games of the regular season due to his lower-body injury, but he appears healthy enough to travel to Worlds. In 32 regular-season outings, the 34-year-old backstop went 13-12-4 with a 2.65 GAA and .909 save percentage. He'll enter the final year of his contract in the 2026-27 campaign.

Kraken's Julius Miettinen: Earns four points Saturday
Miettinen scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Everett's 6-2 win over Prince Albert in Game 2 on Saturday.
Miettinen has earned four goals and eight assists during a five-game point streak. The Kraken prospect is up to 12 goals, 24 points, 56 shots and a plus-17 rating across 15 appearances this postseason. Miettinen continues to impress, and his success is a big part of the reason Everett is three wins away from advancing to the Memorial Cup.

Kraken's JR Avon: Tallies twice Wednesday
Avon scored two goals in AHL Coachella Valley's 3-0 win over Ontario in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Avon put up 24 points over 45 regular-season appearances, his best output in three AHL campaigns. He's already at three goals and an assist over four playoff contests. The 22-year-old doesn't seem to be close to a potential NHL debut given his offensive output, and if it happens in the coming years, he projects as more of a defensive forward.
