Travis Moen announced his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday, Marc Antoine Godin of Montreal's La Presse reports.Moen, a journeyman, officially hangs up his skates after 12 years in the league. He produced 136 points (59 goals, 77 assists) in 747 career games. Although he consistently played in the bottom six, Moen earned his paycheck as a low-maintenance role player, and he brought size to the lineup at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. The 34-year-old retires as a member of the Stars.

Travis Moen (wrist) has yet to receive a contract offer from an NHL club.Moen's 2015-16 campaign ended prematurely when he broke his wrist in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Blues, and it appears as though that may very well have been the final contest of the 34-year-old winger's NHL career.
