Canucks' Nikita Tryamkin: Not cleared to play Tuesday
Nikita Tryamkin (illness) will not suit up for Tuesday night's contest with the Red Wings. While Tryamkin has yet to kick the mumps virus, several of his Vancouver Canucks teammates have, including defensemen Ben Hutton and Troy Stecher, so the team will have some reinforcements for a blue line that got lit up for four goals Saturday. This presents a good outlook for Tryamkin possibly returning soon, though his three assists since the beginning of 2017 aren't likely to entice most fantasy owners even when he does come back.

Canucks' Nikita Tryamkin: Won't play Saturday
Nikita Tryamkin has been diagnosed with mumps and won't play Saturday against the Sharks, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.Tryamkin is just one of five Vancouver Canucks who has displayed symptoms of the mumps virus, and at this point it isn't clear how long he'll be sidelined due to the illness. The towering Russian defender's absence will test Vancouver's depth at defense, but won't mean much to fantasy owners, as his meager offensive contributions -- seven points in 50 games this campaign -- keeps him from being a desirable option in most formats.
