  • Senators' Matthew Highmore: Banks first helper of season Sunday

Highmore notched an even-strength assist and went plus-1 in Sunday's 2-1 win over New Jersey.

Highmore had the secondary assist on Zack Ostapchuk's first career NHL goal to open the scoring in the middle frame. Highmore has suited up in six consecutive contests after being summoned from AHL Belleville on Jan. 10. The 28-year-old figures to remain in the lineup while Ottawa contends with a few injuries to its forward group. The Nova Scotia native has two points and a plus-1 rating through six appearances this season.

  • Shane Pinto C | OTT

Senators' Shane Pinto: Slides apple in New Jersey

Pinto logged an even-strength assist, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Devils.

Pinto has registered an assist in back-to-back games, and he's been held off the scoresheet only once across his last six outings, generating two goals and four assists in that span. The right-shot center nabbed the primary assist on Artem Zub's second goal of the campaign early in the third period. Pinto has accounted for eight goals, 16 points (two on the power play), 14 PIM and 73 shots on goal while averaging 17:46 of ice time through 38 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Senators' Michael Amadio: Picks up assist in victory

Amadio registered an even-strength helper and a plus-1 rating in 8:22 of ice time Sunday in a 2-1 win over the Devils.

Amadio set up Zack Ostapchuk's first career NHL goal at 13:16 of the middle stanza to open the scoring Sunday. Amadio has collected five assists over his last eight outings, but he hasn't found the back of the net since Nov. 12. The right-shot forward has provided two goals, nine assists and a plus-1 rating through 36 appearances while serving in a bottom-six capacity in his first season with Ottawa.

  • Senators' Zack Ostapchuk: First NHL goal Sunday

Ostapchuk netted his first NHL goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Devils.

It took 39 career games for Ostapchuk to score his first career goal, but it was a crucial one in a low-scoring affair Sunday. He opened the scoring at 13:16 in the middle frame. The 21-year-old is averaging just 8:47 of ice time this season while filling a fourth-line role, which limits his appeal in most formats. The Alberta native has chipped in four points through 32 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Sharks' Mikael Granlund: Doesn't practice Sunday

Granlund didn't participate in Sunday's practice session due to a lower-body injury, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Despite Granlund's absence from practice, head coach Ryan Warsofsky didn't rule the 32-year-old out for Monday's road game against Boston. Granlund hasn't missed a game since late November, and over eight appearances in January, he's logged a goal, two assists, seven blocked shots, three hits and a minus-5 rating while averaging 20:17 of ice time.

  • Colton Dach C | EDM

Blackhawks' Colton Dach: Picks up assist in win

Dach registered an assist and two hits in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.

Dach is still looking for his first goal, but he has three assists over eight appearances this season. He helped out on a Lukas Reichel tally in the first period, which tied the game at 1-1. Dach has added ample physicality with 28 hits, and he's averaging 11:37 of ice time while filling a third-line role in his first taste of NHL action.

  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Records assist Saturday

Nazar notched an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.

Nazar ended a four-game point drought with the helper. The 21-year-old forward has mostly been out of the power-play mix lately, but he has also played on the top line at even strength. Nazar is up to four points, 22 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-1 rating over 17 appearances -- it's a humble beginning for what's expected to be a strong career.

  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Supplies pair of helpers in win

Teravainen logged two power-play assists and three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.

Teravainen helped out on both of Tyler Bertuzzi's goals in the game. January has been a good month for Teravainen, who has three goals and six assists over his last eight contests. The veteran winger is up to 33 points (16 on the power play), 70 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 46 outings overall.

  • Adam Lowry C | WPG

Jets' Adam Lowry: Tallies lone goal in loss

Lowry scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Flames.

Lowry is up to two goals and five points over eight contests in January. His tipped-in goal Saturday was the only shot that beat Dustin Wolf. Lowry is up to 11 tallies -- four shy of his career high -- while adding 15 assists, 66 shots on net, 88 hits, 41 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 47 appearances. He's been playing on the second line in the absence of Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body), though Lowry doesn't see power-play time.

  • Derek Ryan C | EDM

Oilers' Derek Ryan: Lands on waivers

Ryan was placed on waivers Sunday.

Ryan had served as a healthy scratch in 11 of Edmonton's last 15 games. He's appeared in 33 contests overall this year, tallying a goal and five points. The 38-year-old Ryan figures to report to AHL Bakersfield, should he clear waivers.
