  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Three-game, four-point streak

Jarvis scored the game-winning goal on the power play in Monday's 2-1 victory over the Sabres.

He fired five shots and added five hits. Jarvis has four points (one goal, three assists) on a three-game scoring streak and 37 points, including 22 goals, 135 shots and 62 hits in 42 games this season. Jarvis is well on his way to a third-straight 30-plus goal season, and if he continues his current success, he could establish a new career mark. His previous best of 33 came in 2023-24.

  • Avalanche's Alex Barre-Boulet: Returns to minors

Barre-Boulet was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.

Barre-Boulet recorded an assist and two hits during Monday's 5-2 win over the Capitals, but he had a team-low 3:46 of ice time. It was his first appearance in the NHL in 2025-26, but he'll link back up with the Eagles in short order.

  • Ivan Ivan C | COL

Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Sent down after Monday's game

Ivan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.

Ivan received just 4:57 of ice time in Monday's 5-2 win over Washington. The 23-year-old has bounced between the NHL and AHL several times in January, and considering the Avalanche are dealing with a few injuries up front, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ivan back up with the big club at some point in the near future.

  • Golden Knights' Colton Sissons: Won't play anytime soon

Sissons (upper body) will not suit up against the Flyers on Monday, according to Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

Sissons will miss his third straight game Monday. General manager Kelly McCrimmon said that several players, including Sissons, are not expected to play until after the Olympic break, SinBin.vegas reports. Sissons has accounted for three goals, six points, 61 hits and a minus-7 rating across 41 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Not expected back soon

Howden (lower body) is not an option for Monday's home matchup against Philadelphia, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

In addition to not being available Monday, general manager Kelly McCrimmon relayed that Howden is not expected to play before the Olympic break, according to SinBin.vegas. It wouldn't be surprising to see Howden land on injured reserve in the near future as a result.

  • Kevin Rooney C | UTA

Mammoth's Kevin Rooney: Loaned to AHL affiliate

Rooney was assigned to AHL Tucson on Monday.

Rooney has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, and Utah is off until Wednesday's home matchup against the Flyers. He has seven goals and 10 points in 20 AHL appearances this season. Rooney also has one goal in his lone outing with the Mammoth in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Alex Barre-Boulet: Up from minors

Barre-Boulet was summoned from AHL Colorado on Monday.

Barre-Boulet has 12 goals and 37 points in 36 outings with AHL Colorado in 2025-26. The Avalanche announced Valeri Nichushkin (upper body) would be a late scratch Monday versus Washington, so Barre-Boulet will likely draw into the lineup for his NHL season debut.

  • Panthers' Jack Studnicka: Put on waivers

Studnicka was put on waivers Monday versus San Jose, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Studnicka has no points, 16 shots and 19 hits in 18 outings with Florida in 2025-26. He was a healthy scratch in the Panthers' past two games. Studnicka will presumably report to AHL Charlotte if he clears waivers.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Moves to IR

Norris (ribs) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Norris is week-to-week and will miss his third straight game against Carolina on Monday. It's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. Norris has provided six goals, 17 points, 27 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and six hits in only 19 appearances this season.

  • Flyers' Rodrigo Abols: Likely out until after Olympics

Abols (lower body) has been replaced on the Latvian Olympic team by Rihards Bukarts, the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation announced Monday, which suggests that Abols isn't expected to be healthy before the Winter Games.

Philadelphia put Abols on injured reserve Sunday and recalled Lane Pederson from AHL Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Abols has three goals, 10 points, 22 PIM and 49 hits in 42 appearances in 2025-26. While it seems the 30-year-old will miss the Olympics, he should resume serving in a bottom-six capacity for Philadelphia once he's healthy.
