Vilardi scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
The 26-year-old sniper potted Winnipeg's final two tallies of the night. It was Vilardi's third multi-goal performance in the last 12 games, a hot stretch in which he's racked up 10 goals and 15 points while finding the back of the net four times with the man advantage. The surge has him on pace for a career-best campaign, as Vilardi's up to 16 goals and 29 points in 31 contests.

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Four goals in last two games
Hyman scored a goal Saturday in a 6-3 win over Toronto.
He poked in a loose puck at the side of the net after Ryan Nugent-Hopkins centered it from below the goal line. Hyman had a hat trick against the Red Wings on Thursday. He hasn't missed a beat since joining the Oilers after a long injury absence. Hyman has six goals, four assists and 32 shots in 13 games.

Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Snaps 10-game goal slump
Lorentz scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-3 loss to the Oilers on Saturday.
Lorentz snapped a 10-game goal drought with his third goal of the season. He and Scott Laughton have shown solid chemistry on the fourth lines, and the addition of Easton Cowan has helped bolster that trio. Lorentz has 54 hits in 25 games, which slides him into the league's top-100, but he has only nine points and 25 shots on net.

Wild's Tyler Pitlick: Rare goal in win
Pitlick scored a goal and added two hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Senators.
The goal was Pitlick's first point in 20 appearances this season. The 34-year-old forward has added 13 shots on net, 51 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-1 rating. Pitlick was waived Nov. 30, but he stayed on the NHL roster and has already played five games since that date. If he continues to get regular playing time, the Wild may need to expose him to waivers again once the team's forward group gets healthier.

Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Steals win late
Eriksson Ek scored a goal on two shots, added four PIM and logged two hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Senators.
Eriksson Ek scored for the third straight game, and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Wild. He tallied at 19:36 of the third period to give them a lead. He's racked up six points during his recent hot stretch, which was preceded by a five-game slump. Overall, the center has seven goals, 22 points, 97 shots on net, 55 hits, 16 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 32 appearances. He may not get back to the 60-point mark this year, but 50 points is very much within reach.

Flames' Mikael Backlund: Doesn't finish game
Backlund (undisclosed) didn't finish Saturday's game versus the Kings, Ryan Pike of Flames Nation reports.
Backlund left the game late in the second period and didn't return. There was no update on his status after the contest, leaving the center in doubt for Tuesday's game versus the Sharks. If he can't play, Dryden Hunt will likely draw into the lineup.

Frost scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings.
Frost continues to chip in decent offense from a top-six role. He has five goals and three assists over his last 12 outings, including Saturday's game-winner 1:06 into overtime. Overall, the center is at eight goals, 18 points, 19 hits, 19 blocked shots, 56 shots on net, 16 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 33 appearances.

Draisaitl picked up three assists Saturday in a 6-3 win over Toronto.
Draisaitl extended his point streak to five games and 12 points (two goals, 10 assists). He now has 999 points (416 goals, 583 assists) through 822 regular-season outings. Draisaitl is 13th on the active scorers list, just 15 points behind Brad Marchand.

Coleman scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings.
Coleman tied the game at 1-1 with his second-period tally. He's now tied with the Kings' Joel Armia for the lead in shorthanded goals this season -- both wingers have three. This goal ended an eight-game scoring drought for Coleman, who picked up three helpers in that span. The defensive forward is up to nine goals, 14 points, 74 shots on net, 76 hits, 25 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 33 appearances. His scoring isn't much, but his all-around performance can help in deeper fantasy formats.

McDavid scored twice and added an assist in a 6-3 win over Toronto on Saturday.
McDavid, who had four assists in a 4-1 win against the Red Wings on Thursday, extended his point streak to five games and 15 points (seven goals, eight assists). He has 24 shots in that span. McDavid's first goal came in the first period when he split the defense and beat Dennis Hildeby on a forehand deke. McDavid leads the NHL with 33 assists, and he sits in a six-way tie for seventh with 18 goals.
