Robert Thomas C | STL
Blues' Robert Thomas: Sustains upper-body injury
Thomas suffered an upper-body injury during St. Louis' 6-4 loss to Detroit on Saturday, per Alex Ferrario of 101 ESPN.
Thomas had two assists in 12:21 of ice time before exiting the game. Those helpers bring him up to a goal and six points through eight appearances this year. If Thomas isn't able to play Monday in Pittsburgh, then Pius Suter might serve in a top-six capacity, and Alexandre Texier will probably draw back into the lineup.

Jake Guentzel C | TB
Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Three-game, four-point streak
Guentzel put up two goals Saturday in a 4-3 win over Anaheim.
Guentzel gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead at the 9:10 mark of the first period, following his own shot from the right circle and stuffing it home. His second deflected off his skate at the midway point of the second to push the Bolts up 2-1. Guentzel is on a three-game, four-point streak with three goals and one helper. Overall, he sits first in team scoring with four goals and five points through eight games.

Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Two helpers in Saturday's loss
MacKinnon picked up two assists in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Bruins.
He helped set up Artturi Lehkonen for goals in the first and third periods, but it was all the scoring the Avs could muster. MacKinnon has delivered five multi-point performances in nine games to begin the season while being held off the scoresheet only twice. The 30-year-old superstar has six goals and 13 points in total.

Anthony Cirelli C | TB
Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Big three-point effort carries win
Cirelli had two goals and an assist Saturday in a 4-3 win over Anaheim.
Cirelli's first was a tap-in in the second to push the score to 3-1. His second stood as the game-winner on the power play at 16:45 of the third frame. Cirelli has five goals and two assists in eight games this season. Two of those snipes have come on the power play. Cirelli's previous best in that role was three goals, set in three different seasons. A new career high is on the horizon.

Dylan Strome C | WAS
Capitals' Dylan Strome: Sustains lower-body injury
Strome suffered a lower-body injury and won't return to Saturday's clash against Ottawa.
Strome entered Saturday's action with two goals and 10 points in eight appearances this year. He also set a career high in the 2024-25 regular season with 82 points, so he's a big part of the Capitals' offense. If Strome isn't available Tuesday in Dallas, then Connor McMichael will probably shift into the top six, and Sonny Milano will likely draw back into the lineup.

Christian Dvorak C | PHI
Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Two points double season total
Dvorak had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 shootout win over the Islanders on Saturday.
Dvorak doubled his scoring output to two goals and two assists in eight contests this season. He is shooting a bit more this season -- he's on pace to deliver more than 140 shots, which would be the most he's had since 2017-18 in Arizona. Dvorak is a sturdy on-ice contributor, but that doesn't make him fantasy worthy. His best season came in 2019-20 (18 goals, 20 assists), and at 29 years of age, Dvorak isn't likely to see his offense increase significantly.

Trevor Zegras C | PHI
Flyers' Trevor Zegras: Finally snipes with new team
Zegras scored twice and added an assist in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Islanders on Saturday.
Zegras earned his first two goals with the Flyers. His first tied the game at 2-2 early in the third period from the bottom of the right faceoff circle on a sweet drop pass. His second tied the game at 3-3 five minutes later on a Philadelphia power play. Zegras has two goals, six assists and 11 shots in eight games so far. He has one goal and one assist on the power play.

Jonathan Marchessault C | NSH
Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Ready to return
Marchessault (lower body) is expected to draw back into the lineup Saturday versus LA, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Marchessault missed three straight games due to the injury. He has two goals and four points in five appearances this year. Marchessault is projected to play alongside Erik Haula and Michael Bunting on Saturday. Tyson Jost is set to be a healthy scratch after playing in Nashville's opening eight games.
-
Mikael Granlund C | ANA
Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Suffers lower-body injury
Granlund won't return to Saturday's clash against Tampa Bay because of a lower-body injury.
Granlund had three shots on 6:07 of ice time before exiting the game. He was fantastic Thursday, recording two goals and three assists in a 7-5 win over Boston, which brought him up to two goals and eight points through seven appearances going into Saturday's action. If Granlund can't play Tuesday in Florida, then Jansen Harkins might draw into the lineup.

Brett Howden C | LV
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Good to go
Howden (lower body) will return to the lineup against Florida on Saturday, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Howden will return to a fourth-line role after missing the last four games. He has contributed one goal, two shots on net and six hits across three appearances this season. With Howden good to go, Cole Reinhardt will be a healthy scratch against the Panthers on Saturday.
