  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two apples in loss

McDavid notched two assists, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Ducks.

McDavid has four goals and nine assists over his last seven NHL contests, not to mention the 13 points he produced over six games for Canada at the Olympics. He's now knocking on the door of his sixth straight 100-point season -- he has 34 goals and 64 assists in just 59 appearances in 2025-26. He's earned 39 power-play points, 222 shots on net and a plus-13 rating.

  • Oilers' Jack Roslovic: Makes early impact

Roslovic scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Ducks.

Roslovic scored just 13 seconds into the game, setting the tone for a high-scoring contest. He has two goals and an assist over his last four outings. The key for Roslovic will be to maintain his second-line role -- he's struggled when he has fallen into a bottom-six spot. Roslovic has 16 goals, 25 points, 98 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 46 appearances this season.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Nets goal in loss

Hyman scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Ducks.

Hyman put the Oilers ahead 3-2 late in the second period. The 33-year-old winger went into the Olympic break scoreless over his previous three aoutings, so it's encouraging to see him pot a goal during the team's first game back in action. For the season, he has 23 goals, 37 points, 122 shots on net, 37 hits and a plus-11 rating over 40 appearances, putting him just four goals and seven points shy of matching his output from 73 regular-season games in 2024-25.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Two-point effort in loss

Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Ducks.

Nugent-Hopkins picked up his first multi-point effort since Jan. 17 versus the Canucks. He has two goals and five helpers over his last seven outings. The 32-year-old plays a key playmaking role in the Oilers' top six and on the power play, so he should continue to pile up points. He's earned 14 goals, 47 points, 86 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 50 appearances this season.

  • Oilers' Matt Savoie: Three points in loss

Savoie scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two assists in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Ducks.

Savoie made a big impact in his return to the NHL after a week-long stint in the AHL. The 22-year-old forward looks here to stay for the Oilers, as he's claimed a middle-six role. He's at 10 goals, 11 assists, 83 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 59 appearances this season. While that won't get him in the Calder Trophy discussion, Savoie will look to provide the depth scoring that is often hard to find for Edmonton.

  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Bags apple Wednesday

McTavish logged a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Oilers.

McTavish missed the last five games of January due to an upper-body injury. He went scoreless in his first two contests back before the Olympic break, and he broke the brief drought by helping on Alex Killorn's tally in the second period of Wednesday's win. McTavish is at 31 points (seven on the power play), 110 shots on net, 57 hits, 28 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a minus-9 rating across 52 appearances this season. He'll likely play in a middle-six role for the rest of the campaign.

  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Leads offense in return

Carlsson scored a goal on four shots and added two assists in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Oilers.

Carlsson ended up missing 11 games after undergoing a procedure to address a Morel-Lavallee lesion on his left thigh. He logged 17:16 of ice time in this contest. With the injury behind him, Carlsson should be able to recapture the early-season form that made him look like a breakout star. He set a career high in points with this performance -- he's at 47 (19 goals, 28 helpers) through 45 appearances this season while adding 111 shots on net and a plus-3 rating.

  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Nets two goals in loss

Byfield scored twice on four shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Golden Knights.

Byfield had a power-play goal in the first period and added an even-strength tally in the third. The 23-year-old four goals over his last five games, so he may be setting himself up for a strong end to the regular season. He's at 13 goals, 32 points, 119 shots on net, 42 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating across 56 appearances so far.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Laczynski: Steps up in larger role

Laczynski recorded three assists and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Kings.

Laczynski got to play on the second line because the Golden Knights were thin down the middle for the contest. The team decided to rest Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner following their participation in the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 28-year-old Laczynski may head back to the AHL soon, despite this strong performance. He has five helpers, 12 shots on net, five blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating in 10 NHL outings this season.

  • Golden Knights' Colton Sissons: Goal, assist in win

Sissons scored a goal, added an assist, doled out two hits and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Kings.

Sissons missed 12 games before the Olympic break due to an upper-body injury. He saw 13:23 of ice time in his return, with the 32-year-old playing on the third line due to multiple absences around the Vegas lineup. He's likely to settle in on the fourth line, though he can move up if injuries pile up again. Sissons is up to eight points, 44 shots on net, 63 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 42 contests this season, so he's unlikely to carry much fantasy appeal.
