  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Buries power-play goal

McTavish scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-3 in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Flames.

McTavish had gone five games without a goal, picking up just one assist in that span. The 23-year-old has found himself in a bottom-six role lately, which has limited his production, though the Ducks' offense as a team has also been lacking in recent weeks. McTavish has 15 goals, 36 points, 132 shots on net, 89 hits, 42 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 70 appearances. That's a big step back from last year's 22-goal, 52-point effort in 76 outings, which isn't an encouraging trend for the third-overall pick from 2021.

  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Pots goal in loss

Carlsson scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Flames.

Carlsson has six goals and six assists over his last 11 outings. The 21-year-old center is doing his part from the top line, though the Ducks are stumbling a bit overall late in the season. Carlsson has racked up 26 goals, 63 points, 168 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 64 contests, which is likely a level he'll at least match in future seasons as his game continues to grow.

  • Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Another shorthanded snipe

Lorentz scored a goal Saturday in a 7-6 overtime loss to Los Angeles.

Lorentz wired a wrist shot from the slot while shorthanded in the first period after he forced a turnover by Anze Kopitar. Lorentz has just six goals this season, and two have come while on Toronto penalty kills. Overall, he has 16 points and 135 hits in 66 games this season.

  • Ryan Strome C | CGY

Flames' Ryan Strome: Scores for 500th career point

Strome scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Ducks.

The goal was the 500th point of Strome's career, and it came in his first game back in Anaheim since the Ducks dealt him away at the trade deadline. The 32-year-old has revitalized his career with the Flames, earning 11 points over 15 contests since the trade. That gives him 20 points, 56 shots on net, 19 hits, 29 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 48 appearances on the season.

  • Morgan Frost C | CGY

Flames' Morgan Frost: Crosses 20-goal mark for season

Frost scored twice on five shots, added two PIM, logged two hits and went plus-4 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Ducks.

Frost was at just 12 goals through the end of February, but he's up to 21 after Saturday's performance. He's earned six points over his last four contests as he continues to thrive in a top-six role. Frost has 41 points, 128 shots on net, 53 hits, 37 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a minus-14 rating over 76 appearances this season.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Hits 30 goals for eighth time

Tavares scored a goal and added two assists in a 7-6 overtime loss against the Kings.

The goal came on the power play. It was Tavares' 30th goal of the season -- he has hit that mark eight times in his career. He is on a three-game goal streak (four goals, three assists), and that includes a power-play snipe in each of those games. Tavares has at least one point in seven of his last eight contests (seven goals, six assists).

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Will miss road trip

Hyman (undisclosed) won't play on the Oilers' upcoming three-game road trip, which begins Tuesday versus the Mammoth, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.

Hyman could return April 13 versus the Avalanche. He's been battling a nagging injury late in the campaign, and the Oilers are opting to rest him despite not having a playoff spot secured yet. At this point, it doesn't appear the 33-year-old will miss the start of the postseason, but he won't be any help to fantasy managers in their playoff matchups.

  • Kings' Samuel Helenius: First goal in 14 games

Helenius scored a goal in Saturday's 7-6 overtime win against the Maple Leafs.

It was Helenius' fifth goal this season, which sets a new career high. It was his first point in nine games and first goal in 14 games (two assists). Helenius is more of a disruptor on the ice than a scorer. He centers the fourth line, and he has five goals, nine points and 133 hits in 47 games this season.

  • Kings' Nikita Alexandrov: Nets two goals for Reign

Alexandrov scored twice in AHL Ontario's 6-3 win of Bakersfield on Saturday.

Alexandrov is up to 14 goals and 50 points across 62 appearances. It's officially a career-best year in the AHL for the forward, who has split the season between two organizations after starting the campaign with AHL Springfield. He's yet to get a call-up to the Kings despite his strong play.

  • Capitals' Connor McMichael: Picks up two points Saturday

McMichael scored a goal, distributed an assist, fired five shots on net, had two blocked shots and served two PIM in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sabres.

McMichael eclipsed the 40-point mark on the season with a goal early in the opening period before later providing the lone helper on Tom Wilson's shorthanded tally. Overall, McMichael now has 11 goals, 41 points, 137 shots on net, 43 hits and 41 blocked shots through 73 games this season. The 25-year-old center has been a steady contributor for Washington's offense as of late, with seven points over his last nine games. He's a solid streaming option in numerous fantasy formats for the remainder of the regular season.
