  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Tallies on power play in loss

Hischier scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Penguins.

Hischier brought the Devils within a goal in the third period, but the Penguins fended them off with three goals over the final six minutes. With four goals and two assists over eight outings in March, Hischier is having a fine month. He's up to 28 goals -- one better than last season -- and has added 24 assists, 164 shots on net, 54 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 62 appearances. He's also earned 23 of his 52 points on the power play, making this by far his most productive campaign with the man advantage.

  • Penguins' Emil Bemstrom: Snags helper Saturday

Bemstrom registered an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Devils.

This was Bemstrom's first NHL point of the campaign. He's currently filling a fourth-line role, but he's averaged just 8:54 of ice time over 10 appearances this season, so his fantasy value remains minimal. Bemstrom may be sent back to the AHL when Thomas Novak (lower body) is healthy enough to play.

  • Noel Acciari C | PIT

Penguins' Noel Acciari: Snaps slump with helper

Acciari recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and four PIM in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Devils.

Acciari ended his 12-game slump by setting up the first of two goals by Connor Dewar in this contest, which tied the game at 1-1. Even with the lack of offense, Acciari has moved up the lineup, though he could see his ice time cut again once Thomas Novak (lower body) is healthy. Acciari is at 10 points, 69 shots on net, 147 hits, 89 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 69 appearances this season.

  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Stays hot with goal

Rakell scored a goal in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Devils.

Rakell has gotten on the scoresheet in seven of eight games in March, earning six goals and four assists. The 31-year-old's tally Saturday gave the Penguins a 3-1 lead in the second period. For the season, he's up to 31 goals, 59 points, 171 shots on net, 101 hits, 70 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating over 68 appearances. He's poised to reach the 60-point mark for the third time in his career, and his personal bests of 34 goals and 69 points from 2017-18 with the Ducks are within reach by the end of the campaign.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: In concussion protocol

Kulich has entered the concussion protocol Sunday after leaving Saturday's game against Vegas, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Coach Lindy Ruff said Kulich is feeling "worse" Sunday after taking a hard hit from Brett Howden in Saturday's contest, so the center will now be sidelined until he can clear the protocol, which likely rules him out for Monday's game in Boston. The 20-year-old Kulich has 12 goals and 19 points through 49 games this season.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Game-time call Sunday

Hyman (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Rangers, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.

Hyman was limited to a season-low 10:36 of ice time in Friday's win over the Islanders, and his availability remains uncertain Sunday. However, the veteran winger was a full participant in the morning skate, per Nugent-Bowman. Hyman has 22 goals and 37 points through 61 games this year.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Nets pair of goals

Jankowski scored two goals in Saturday's 5-0 shutout victory against the Flyers.

Jankowski found the back of the net in each of the first and second periods off of feeds from linemate Eric Robinson. Jankowski now has two multi-goal performances in his last four games, and he accomplished that while recording just four shots on goal. He's off to an incredible start with the Hurricanes since being traded from Nashville at the deadline. Jankowski should strengthen Carolina's bottom six for the rest of the season. He is also three points shy of having his best offensive year since 2018-19. Overall, Jankowski has eight goals and 13 points in 45 appearances this season.

  • Lars Eller C | OTT

Capitals' Lars Eller: Ends drought Saturday

Eller produced two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.

He had a hand in an Aliaksei Protas tally in the first period and a Trevor van Riemsdyk goal in the third. Eller snapped a 12-game point drought with the performance, and the veteran center has 10 goals and 21 points in 65 appearances on the season.

  • Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Two-point effort against Devils

Tomasino scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 7-3 win over New Jersey.

The goal was his 10th of the season, while the point was his 20th in 51 appearances. Tomasino has elevated his game since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, and he's delivered three goals and seven points with 24 shots on net and 18 hits over the last 12 contests.

  • Connor Dewar C | PIT

Penguins' Connor Dewar: Lights lamp twice in big win

Dewar scored two goals in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Devils.

The 25-year-old has only three goals on the season, and they've all come in the last two games. Dewar managed only three helpers in 31 appearances for the Maple Leafs earlier this season before being sent to Pittsburgh at the trade deadline, but the depth forward seems to have found a spark with his new club. However, he's never scored more than 11 goals or 19 points in a season, so his hot streak isn't likely to last.
