Josh Manson D | COL
Avalanche's Josh Manson: Nearing return to action
Manson (upper body) could be available for Game 3 against Minnesota on Saturday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Jared Bednar told reporters the team was confident enough that Manson would be available that it opted to leave Jack Ahcan behind to play for AHL Colorado. If the 34-year-old Manson does suit up in Game 3, it will likely be at the expense of Nick Blankenburg, though Manson could also serve as a healthy scratch.

Jonas Brodin D | MIN
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Officially ruled out
Brodin (lower body) will not be available for Game 3 versus the Avalanche on Saturday, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Brodin will be out of action for his fourth straight game due to his lingering lower-body problem. In his last 10 outings, going back to the regular season, the 32-year-old blueliner has failed to find the back of the net while producing two assists, 13 shots and 23 blocks. As long as Brodin is on the shelf, Daemon Hunt figures to continue seeing minutes on the third pairing.

Emil Andrae D | PHI
Flyers' Emil Andrae: Posts helper in loss
Andrae logged an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3.
Andrae has been a part-time player this postseason, in part due to an upper-body injury that hampered him in the first round. He was in the lineup for consecutive contests for the first time in the playoffs and delivered a helper on a Trevor Zegras tally in the second period. Andrae had trouble keeping his spot in the lineup in the regular season as well, collecting 13 points, 68 hits, 58 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-15 rating across 61 appearances.

Shayne Gostisbehere D | CAR
Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Pockets pair of helpers
Gostisbehere notched two power-play assists, two shots on goal, four PIM and three hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Gostisbehere hadn't gotten on the scoresheet in the first six games of the playoffs. He changed that by helping out on goals by Jordan Staal and Andrei Svechnikov in this contest. Through seven playoff contests, Gostisbehere has added nine shots on net, eight hits, three blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-4 rating. He'll continue to play on the third pairing at even strength as well as the first power-play unit.

Jalen Chatfield D | CAR
Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Nets shorthanded goal
Chatfield scored a shorthanded goal on five shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Chatfield's second-period tally stood as the game-winner. The 29-year-old defenseman has done his usual shutdown work this postseason, but he hasn't added a lot of offense. He's at two points, 14 shots on net, four hits, seven blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-1 rating across seven playoff outings. Chatfield will continue to see top-four minutes, but he's not expected to be in the power-play mix.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Slated to be available for Friday
Dahlin (undisclosed) is expected to play in Game 2 against Montreal on Friday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
Dahlin didn't complete Wednesday's 4-2 victory over Montreal after blocking a shot, but the 26-year-old said Thursday that he's not injured. He has a goal, four points, eight PIM, 25 shots, 10 hits and nine blocks in seven playoff outings this year. He also had 19 goals and 74 points in 77 regular-season appearances in 2025-26.

Bowen Byram D | BUF
Sabres' Bowen Byram: Tallies on power play
Byram scored a power-play goal on two shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 1.
Byram has provided quality offense from the blue line this postseason with four goals, two assists and 17 shots on net over seven games. This was his first power-play point of the postseason. The defenseman also has six blocked shots, five hits and a plus-7 rating. He's a lock to see top-four minutes heading into Game 2.

Ilya Solovyov D | PIT
Penguins' Ilya Solovyov: Inks one-year extension
Solovyov signed a one-year, $850,000 contract extension with Pittsburgh on Thursday.
After Solovyov was acquired by the Penguins in a trade with Colorado, he logged 14 regular-season games for the club in which he notched five assists, 16 hits and 14 blocks while averaging 14:06 of ice time. It's a low-risk deal for the Penguins, one that figures to primarily bolster their defensive depth, with Solovoyv unlikely to be a regular on the blue line for the club this upcoming season.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Seems fine after blocked shot
Dahlin (undisclosed) didn't finish Game 1 versus the Canadiens on Wednesday, but head coach Lindy Ruff told reporters the defenseman seemed fine prior to being checked out by the medical staff, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.
Dahlin should be fine for Game 2 on Friday, but it's worth keeping an eye on his status given the lack of certainty. The 26-year-old blueliner may not be at 100 percent, but he'd probably play through a minor issue at this time of year. He didn't get on the scoresheet in Wednesday's contest.
