Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Guarding goal Sunday

Dostal will defend the road net against Utah on Sunday, according to Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Dostal is coming off a 21-save performance in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Winnipeg. He has a 7-8-3 record with one shutout, a 2.65 GAA and a .920 save percentage over 18 appearances this season. Utah has posted 3.00 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: In goal Sunday

Vasilevskiy will patrol the home crease against Florida on Sunday, per Doug Plagens of the Panthers Radio Network.

Vasilevskiy has allowed only seven goals on 86 shots during his three-game winning streak. He has a 15-9-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.38 GAA and a .911 save percentage across 25 appearances this season. Florida sits fourth in the league with 3.53 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Starting in Washington

Rittich will defend the road goal versus the Capitals on Sunday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Rittich will get the second half of the Kings' back-to-back after Darcy Kuemper played in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Nashville. The 32-year-old Rittich has a 10-7-0 record with a 2.49 GAA and an .890 save percentage across 18 appearances this season. Washington ranks second in the league with 3.78 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Hockey Club's Jaxson Stauber: Defending crease Sunday

Stauber will protect the home net versus Anaheim on Sunday, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

Stauber has won his previous two starts for Utah this season, stopping 51 of 53 shots and picking up his first NHL shutout against Vegas on Nov. 30. Anaheim sits 31st in the league with 2.42 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Starting Sunday

Thompson will guard the home net Sunday against the Kings, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Thompson's been solid while splitting starting duties with Charlie Lindgren this year, going 12-2-2 with a .911 save percentage and 2.48 GAA. He'll face a Kings team that's averaging 3.12 goals per game this season.

  • Panthers' Spencer Knight: Starting in Tampa

Knight will defend the road net Sunday against the Lightning, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

It'll be just the second start in eight games for Knight, who's 5-5-1 with an .890 save percentage and 2.85 GAA on the season. The 23-year-old netminder will have a tough task against a Tampa Bay team averaging a league-best four goals per game.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Facing Kraken

Blackwood will patrol the home crease against Seattle on Sunday, per Ryan Boulding of NHL.com.

Blackwood is coming off a 32-save performance in Thursday's 4-2 win over San Jose. Since being acquired by the Avalanche in a trade with the Sharks on Dec. 9, he has won two of three starts while stopping 91 of 97 shots. Seattle ranks 23rd in the league with 2.80 goals per game and lost 6-2 to Vegas on Saturday.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Starting in New York

Kochetkov will guard the road cage Sunday against the Rangers, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

Kochetkov has dropped two of his last three starts despite posting a strong .933 save percentage in that span. Overall, the 25-year-old netminder is 13-6-0 with a .900 save percentage and 2.50 GAA this year.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Sharp in Saturday's win

Korpisalo turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

While he wasn't particularly busy, Korpisalo came up big when he needed to, and Buffalo's only goal came on a second-period power play. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss since the beginning of November, going 6-1-1 over his last nine outings with a stellar 1.97 GAA and .920 save percentage, but as yet the Bruins don't seem inclined to give him a bigger workload at Jeremy Swayman's expense.

  • James Reimer G | BUF

Sabres' James Reimer: Bounced by Boston

Reimer stopped 16 of 18 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins, with Boston's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

There wasn't much Reimer could do on either goal -- Charlie Coyle got a breakaway coming out of the penalty box in the first period, and the netminder still stopped Coyle's first couple of shots before the puck got poked into the net in a scrum. Morgan Geekie's game-winner in the third then came on a blistering one-timer on a Boston power play. Reimer has seen action in three straight games, allowing three goals on 39 shots (.923 save percentage), and with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in a tailspin -- 0-7-2 over his last nine outings with a 4.10 GAA and .864 save percentage -- his backup could be in line for a bigger workload.
