Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Expected starter for Sunday

Hill is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Sunday, per SinBin.vegas.

Akira Schmid will play between the pipes at home against Seattle on Saturday. Head coach Bruce Cassidy wants to maintain a rotation between the two goaltenders until the Olympic break. The 29-year-old Hill has a 3-2-3 record, 3.56 GAA and .855 save percentage in 10 appearances in 2025-26. Anaheim won seven straight games from Jan. 13 to Jan. 25, but the Ducks have dropped their past two while being outscored 9-2 over those losses.

  • Capitals' Garin Bjorklund: Summoned from AHL

Bjorklund was recalled from AHL Hershey on Saturday.

Washington placed Charlie Lindgren (lower body) on injured reserve in a corresponding move. With Logan Thompson (upper body) also dealing with an injury, Bjorklund or Clay Stevenson could start Saturday's home game against Carolina.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Shifts to IR

Lindgren (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

Washington recalled Garin Bjorklund from AHL Hershey in a corresponding move. Lindgren suffered the injury in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Detroit and won't return before the Olympic break. Eric Comrie will get the start instead. Hellebuyck has a 13-15-6 record, 2.71 GAA and .902 save percentage in 34 appearances in 2025-26. It wouldn't be surprising if Hellebuyck gets back between the pipes Monday in Dallas.
