  • Penguins' Joel Blomqvist: Rejoining NHL roster

Blomqvist was promoted from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Tuesday.

Blomqvist spent the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off with the Baby Pens, suiting up in three contests in which he went 1-1-1 while registering a .900 save percentage. With the Penguins resuming action with a back-to-back against the Capitals and Rangers on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, look for Blomqvist to split the workload with Alex Nedeljkovic.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Brought up Tuesday

Silovs was summoned from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

With Kevin Lankinen getting a few days of rest after participating in the 4 Nations Face-Off, Silovs was brought up to the big club. Silovs will presumably be sent back down once Lankinen is back up to speed with the Canucks, though the health of Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) will likely dictate how Vancouver handles its goaltending situation. Silovs has a 1-4-1 record, .847 save percentage and 4.11 GAA through seven appearances in the NHL this season.

  • Wild's Dylan Ferguson: Promoted from minors

Ferguson was elevated from AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Per the Wild's release, Ferguson will serve as a practice player as allowed under the terms of the 4 Nations Face-Off rules. Essentially, Minnesota is being allowed to carry an extra goalie while Filip Gustavsson is away from the team with Sweden. Once Gustavsson rejoins the club, fantasy players can expect Ferguson to head back down to the minors.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Sharp in USA loss to Sweden

Oettinger made 21 saves on 23 shots in the United States' 2-1 loss to Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Oettinger allowed both goals in the first period; both were almost thread-the-needle perfect to beat the Dallas star. The first came on a fantastic Gustav Nyquist deflection as he drove to the net that changed the direction of the puck enough to sneak through Oettinger and into the net. The second was a Jesper Bratt wheel-and-whip shot through traffic that went shelf over the netminder's glove. Oettinger will be back on the end of the bench Thursday as Connor Hellebuyck takes the blue paint in the championship game against Canada.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Second star in win over USA

Ersson made 32 saves on 33 shots in Sweden's 2-1 win over the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Ersson allowed a goal to Chris Kreider just 35 seconds into the game, but battened the hatches from that point and stoned the American snipers. He earned the game's second star for his work. Ersson returns to Philadelphia on a high -- this was his first appearance at the tourney. He has started 30 of his team's 57 games, and he's 16-10-3 with two shutouts, 2.81 GAA and .896 save percentage.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Perfect in relief against Canada

Saros stopped all 14 shots he faced after relieving Kevin Lankinen in the second period of Finland's 5-3 loss to Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Saros had lost the starting job to Lankinen earlier in the tournament, but he ended strong. The Predators and fantasy managers alike will look to Saros to build off this parting shot for the final stretch. He went into the tournament on a five-game losing streak, and is 11-23-6 with a 2.95 GAA and .899 save percentage. Those are Saros' worst numbers of his career.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Pulled in loss to Canada

Lankinen allowed four goals on 13 shots before he was pulled at the 5:03 mark of the second period of Finland's 5-3 loss to Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Team Canada had dominated the first period, with Finland surrendering multiple rush chances. Lankinen didn't have much of a chance. He was relieved by Juuse Saros. Lankinen will take a few days before returning to Vancouver. He will be a valuable fantasy play to finish the season and going forward, as starter Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) continues to show real fragility.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Wobbles, but wins at 4 Nations

Binnington made 23 saves on 26 shots in Canada's 5-3 win over Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Binnington was cruising in the the third period with a 4-0 lead, and then all seemed fine when Esa Lindell scored for Finland at 13:19. But then the Finns turned up the heat 6-on-5, and Mikael Granlund scored twice in a 23-second span to pull the Finns within a goal with 1:17 left. It's not that the goals were Binnington's fault per se, but he wasn't square to either shot. He will need to be near-perfect Thursday in the championship game against Team USA.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Receives late starting nod

Ersson will tend the twine for Team Sweden against the United States on Monday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Linus Ullmark (illness) was the first netminder off at Monday's morning skate, but Ersson will draw his first start of the tournament due to the former's ailment. Ersson will take on a strong American squad that has scored nine goals through two games, which could prove to be valuable experience for the 25-year-old.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Under the weather

Ullmark is contending with an illness and will not be available for Sweden's game versus Team USA on Monday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Samuel Ersson will get the start in place of Ullmark at TD Garden in Boston. The Swedes will be playing for pride Monday -- the Americans will face Team Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off Final on Thursday. Ullmark will have plenty of time to recover before the Senators resume play Saturday against Montreal.
