  • Danila Yurov RW | MIN

Wild's Danila Yurov: Slated to play

Yurov (upper body) is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday versus the Sabres after taking the ice for warmups, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Yurov and Nico Sturm were both on the ice, but Yurov took rushes alongside Kirill Kaprizov. The 22-year-old Yurov was banged up Saturday versus the Bruins. He's earned one assist, two shots on net and three hits over two contests so far this season.

  • Senators' Samuel Ersson: Drawing start against Detroit

Ersson is starting Tuesday's road game against the Red Wings, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Ersson replaced Linus Ullmark (undisclosed) in the third period of Monday's 4-1 victory over the Bruins and allowed a goal on nine shots. Ullmark won't dress for the second half of the back-to-back set, so Ersson will make his first start of the season Tuesday, while Jonas Johansson will operate as the backup. Ersson made 33 regular-season appearances for Philadelphia last year, going 14-11-5 with a 3.12 GAA and .870 save percentage.

  • Ivan Demidov RW | MON

Canadiens' Ivan Demidov: Lands on injured reserve

Demidov (lower body) was placed on injured reserve by the Canadiens on Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

Demidov's placement on injured reserve is simply procedural after the Canadiens announced Tuesday that he'll be sidelined for 2-4 weeks due to a lower-body injury. The 20-year-old appeared in all 82 regular-season games for Montreal last year and recorded 19 goals, 43 assists, 34 PIM, 28 hits and 26 blocked shots while averaging 15:30 of ice time.

  • Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Heading back to Detroit

Dries was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday, per the NHL Media Site.

Dries was called up by the Red Wings on Tuesday in a corresponding move to Mason Appleton (undisclosed) being shifted to injured reserve. Prior to his call-up, the 32-year-old Dries was off to a strong start with AHL Grand Rapids, where he has three goals, four points and seven shots on net across two games. The Wings likely made the call-up for him to play Tuesday, so expect to see him in a bottom-six role ahead of his first NHL appearance of the campaign.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Considered day-to-day

Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Tuesday that Celebrini (lower body) is considered day-to-day, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Celebrini was a late scratch for Monday's road matchup against the Stars and is still being evaluated Tuesday to determine the severity of his lower-body injury. However, Warsofsky clarified Tuesday that Celebrini didn't sustain his injury during Monday's warmups. It's not yet clear whether Celebrini will be available for Thursday's game against the Blues, but he's expected to remain with the Sharks to conclude their road trip. If the 20-year-old is forced to miss additional time, Ty Dellandrea is a candidate to remain in the lineup.

  • Red Wings' Mason Appleton: Placed on injured reserve

Appleton (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Red Wings on Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

The Red Wings announced Tuesday that Appleton is week-to-week due to an unspecified injury, so it isn't particularly surprising to see him land on injured reserve. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Carter Mazur is a candidate to see increased time in the lineup during Appleton's absence.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Shelved for Tuesday's clash

Ullmark (undisclosed) will not play in Tuesday's road clash against Detroit, per Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site.

With the call-up of Jonas Johansson Tuesday afternoon, Ullmark's absence Tuesday was expected. The 33-year-old netminder left Monday's 4-1 win over the Bruins after he was involved in a collision with winger JJ Peterka. However, head coach Travis Green mentioned that Ullmark is doing fine, so he likely avoided a long-term injury. The veteran backstop is off to a strong start in the 2026-27 campaign, where he has compiled a 2-0-0 record, a 1.20 GAA and a .949 save percentage across 39 shots on net between two appearances. In Ullmark's absence, Samuel Ersson will make his first regular-season start with the Senators.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Likely to miss Tuesday's game

Ekblad (personal) is not expected to suit up in Tuesday's clash against the Kings, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

The Panthers aren't expected to make any lineup changes ahead of Tuesday's matchup, meaning that Ekblad is likely still with his family attending to a personal matter. The 30-year-old blueliner posted a power-play assist and two hits across his two appearances in the 2026-27 campaign. In his expected absence, Uvis Balinskis will likely be active once again Tuesday. Ekblad's next chance to return will be Saturday's contest against the Wild.

  • Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Tending twine Tuesday

Markstrom will defend the road net against the Kings on Tuesday.

Markstrom has stopped 33 of 36 shots en route to a 1-0-1 start to the 2026-27 campaign. He is coming off an 18-save effort in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to Anaheim. The Kings (0-1-1) have scored eight goals in two games this campaign.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Out 6-8 weeks

Barkov (lower body) will be out for approximately 6-8 weeks, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports Tuesday.

Barkov opted for non-surgical rehab after suffering a lower-body injury in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to San Jose. Florida placed Barkov on long-term injured reserve Saturday. He didn't earn a point in his first two appearances of the 2026-27 campaign, but he recorded two shots on net, two blocked shots and one hit.
