  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Making first start of season

DiPietro will guard the road goal versus the Wild on Saturday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.

DiPietro will handle the second half of a back-to-back after Jeremy Swayman started Friday versus the Jets. This will be DiPietro's fifth career NHL game and just the second since the start of 2025-26. He is set to be Swayman's backup for the year, though DiPietro may struggle to see much time behind a clear starter.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Expected starter Saturday

Greaves is slated to start at home against Utah on Saturday, according to Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch.

Greaves opened the season by stopping 23 of 26 shots in a 6-3 win over Buffalo on Thursday. He posted a 26-19-9 record, a 2.60 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 55 regular-season appearances for Columbus in 2025-26. Greaves should receive most of the Blue Jackets' starts again, while Cam Talbot will act as the understudy.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Slated to face Edmonton

Grubauer is slated to start on the road against Edmonton on Saturday, per Sound of Hockey.

Grubauer had a 2.65 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 32 outings with Seattle during the 2025-26 regular season. He's gearing up for his first start of the new campaign. Edmonton is missing Zach Hyman (undisclosed), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (lower body) and Matt Savoie (lower body), so its forward group is missing some noteworthy members. Despite that, Edmonton figures to be a difficult adversary after accumulating 14 goals across two games against Vancouver to open the campaign.

  • Maple Leafs' Sergei Bobrovsky: Guarding goal Saturday

Bobrovsky will protect the home goal versus the Senators on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Bobrovsky stopped 21 of 24 shots Tuesday versus the Canadiens in the Maple Leafs' season opener. He'll get a second chance between the pipes as he looks to settle into a rhythm as his new team's starter. If Bobrovsky struggles, Anthony Stolarz is a capable backup who could pick up extra work.

  • Devon Levi G | EDM

Oilers' Devon Levi: Getting start versus Seattle

Levi will protect the home goal versus the Kraken on Saturday, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.

Levi is set to start despite allowing seven goals on 22 shots in his season debut Thursday versus the Canucks. He did get the win in that contest, so it's possible he's being rewarded for the result more than the process. Tristan Jarry lost his start Opening Night, but he'll be a veteran option to fill in if Levi can't get on track.

  • Mammoth's Sebastian Cossa: Expected to start Saturday

Cossa is slated to start on the road against Columbus on Saturday, per Catherine Bogart of the Mammoth's official site.

Karel Vejmelka started in Utah's season opener, posting a 15-save shutout over Chicago. Vejmelka is poised to get the bulk of the Mammoth's work this campaign, which leaves Cossa firmly in the No. 2 spot.

  • Hurricanes' Charles-Alexis Legault: Sent down Saturday

Legault was assigned to AHL Chicago on Saturday.

Legault has amassed three hits, two blocked shots, two shots on goal and 12 PIM over two appearances. He wasn't projected to play Saturday, so the Hurricanes seem more interested in getting him consistent playing time at the AHL level. It's possible Carolina calls up another blueliner in the coming days.

  • Jets' Domenic DiVincentiis: Shutout in AHL season debut

DiVincentiis posted a 36-save shutout in AHL Manitoba's 3-0 win over Chicago on Saturday.

It's the fourth shutout of DiVincentiis' AHL career. The 22-year-old goalie looked to be the Jets' backup late into the preseason, but the team claimed Clay Stevenson off waivers. That will allow both of DiVincentiis and Thomas Milic to continue developing with the Moose for the bulk of 2026-27.

  • Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Game-time call for Sunday

Forsling (upper body) is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt in Anaheim, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

Forsling missed Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to San Jose due to the injury. If he ends up playing Sunday, then he will likely serve in a top-four capacity. Aleksander Barkov (knee) was forced to exit Thursday's game, so Uvis Balinskis might remain in the lineup as a seventh defenseman, even if Forsling returns.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Between pipes Saturday

Kochetkov will guard the road goal against Philadelphia on Saturday, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Kochetkov will make his season debut after Brandon Bussi went 0-1-1 in the first two games. During that span, Bussi surrendered six goals on 47 shots. Kochetkov posted a 6-2-0 record with a 2.33 GAA and an .899 save percentage in nine appearances for Carolina during the 2025-26 regular season. Philadelphia (0-1-1) has two goals in two games this campaign.
