The 20-year-old forward is up to nine goals, 18 helpers, 82 shots on net, 30 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 34 appearances this season. He got a taste of NHL action earlier in 2025-26, but the Blue Jackets will likely be happy to let him continue developing in the AHL for at least the rest of this season.

That surge has him up to 30 points in 36 outings this season, though he continues to be heavy on playmaking for the second year in a row. The 24-year-old center hasn't been able to turn AHL success into a long look with the Hurricanes yet.

DeSmith made 21 saves in a 1-0 loss to Columbus on Thursday.

DeSmith did his part, as he was almost perfect, and the Stars had more scoring chances than the Blue Jackets by a wide margin. Unfortunately, his team faced strong goaltending by Jet Greaves, who delivered a standout performance in the other net. DeSmith has lost two straight games in regulation, but he allowed just three goals total in that span. Overall, he is 10-4-5 with a 2.39 GAA and .913 save percentage in 19 starts this season.

Nadeau scored twice and added an assist in AHL Chicago's 7-6 overtime loss to Cleveland on Thursday.

Nadeau replicated his stat line from the Wolves' 6-5 overtime win Wednesday. The 20-year-old winger is up to a stunning 17 goals and 37 points over 29 outings this season, including six goals and six assists during a five-game point streak. Considering his status as one of the youngest players in the AHL, it's all the more impressive how consistently good he's been right away.

Robidas scored a goal and added three assists in AHL Chicago's 7-6 overtime loss to Cleveland on Thursday.

Robidas has a pair of four-point efforts during a six-game point streak. He's earned seven goals and seven helpers during the streak, putting him at 20 goals and 19 assists through 35 appearances overall. With the Wolves getting into some recent high-scoring battles, Robidas is likely to remain heavily involved in the offense.

Werenski scored the Blue Jackets' only goal in a 1-0 win over the Stars on Thursday.

It was his 19th marker of the season, and it moved him into sole possession of first place in goals among NHL defenders. Werenski is four goals away from equaling his career high of 23, which he set last season, and he's on a 90-point pace. That would also establish a new career-best mark. He delivered 82 points last season. Cale Makar was the only defender to top 90 points last season, and just two -- Quinn Hughes and Makar -- hit 90 the year before. Werenski is an elite defender in elite territory.

Benson sustained an apparent upper-body injury during Thursday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens, and there was no update on his status after the game, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

Benson was on the receiving end of an elbow to the head from Zachary Bolduc late in the third period, according to Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald. The 20-year-old Benson potted an even-strength goal on two shots and went plus-1 in 10:47 of ice time in Thursday's victory. Benson can be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's matinee matchup against the Islanders.

Hemming scored twice in OHL Barrie's 5-3 win over Niagara on Thursday.

Hemming is on a surge with six goals and three assists over his last five games. It took him a little time after the World Junior Championship to get back to speed in the OHL, but he's rolling now. Overall, he has produced 14 goals and 38 points across 24 appearances for the Colts this season. The Stars prospect should continue to be a big scorer for Barrie.
