  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Two-point effort Sunday

Dahlin produced a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3.

The Norris Trophy finalist recorded his first points of the series, helping to set up Tage Thompson for a first-period goal before snapping home his own tally late in the second. Dahlin has two goals and six points in nine games this postseason, and both goals have come with the man advantage.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Two points in Game 3 loss

Thompson scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3.

The star center opened the scoring just 53 seconds into the first period, but Montreal produced the next four goals to pull away. The points were the first of the series for Thompson. Through nine contests this postseason, he's delivered three goals and nine points, including two power-play assists. Thompson may need to come up big in Game 4 on Tuesday if Buffalo is going to even the series.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Gets little help in Game 3 loss

Lyon stopped 31 of 36 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3. Montreal's final goal was scored into an empty net.

The veteran netminder came up with some big saves, but defensive breakdowns by Buffalo once again led to plenty of open looks and second chances for Montreal. Lyon has now given up nine goals on 63 shots over the last two games, both losses, and while he isn't fully at fault for those results, head coach Lindy Ruff may have to consider a switch in the crease for Game 4 on Tuesday.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Pockets pair of helpers

Eichel notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Eichel earned his first multi-point effort since Game 5 of the first round versus the Mammoth. He's also stuck in a seven-game goal drought, but he has earned 10 assists in that span, including four with the man advantage. Overall, Eichel has earned a goal, 12 helpers, 25 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 10 playoff contests while filling his usual top-line role.

  • Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Distributes three assists

Marner notched three assists, including one on the power play, and fired two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Marner has earned four goals and five helpers over four games in the second round. The 29-year-old winger is up to 16 points, 27 shots on net and a plus-9 rating over 10 playoff contests. Marner leads the postseason in points and has looked particularly good with four multi-point efforts over his last five games.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Snaps lengthy goal drought

Hertl scored a goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Hertl's last goal came before the trade deadline when he had two points against the Red Wings on March 4. He had been limited to seven assists, 62 shots on net, 50 hits and a minus-11 rating during the 29-game goal drought. Hertl now has three points, 17 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-2 rating over 10 playoff contests. The 32-year-old put up 48 points across 80 previous postseason games prior to his year, earning those numbers across seven prior runs. He has filled a third-line role and appears set to continue in that spot now that William Karlsson is back to center the second line.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Pots goal in loss

Howden scored a goal and added four hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Howden continues to fill the net -- this was his seventh goal of the postseason, all of which have come over his last seven games. The 28-year-old forward has added two assists, 17 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-4 rating over 10 playoff contests. Howden will continue to see top-six minutes as long as he remains productive, especially with no one in the bottom six stepping up to challenge him for the spot.

  • Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Strikes on power play in loss

Dorofeyev scored a power-play goal on four shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Dorofeyev had gone four games without a goal, chipping in two assists in that span. The winger got the Golden Knights on the board in the first period of this contest. Throughout the playoffs, he's racked up five goals, two assists, 25 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 10 appearances. Dorofeyev has maintained a top-six role, though his 18:32 of ice time Sunday was his highest in any second-round game and his second-highest total in the postseason.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Falls short in Game 4

Hart stopped 19 of 23 shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Hart had allowed a total of five goals on 94 shots over the first three games of this series, so this was a bit of a letdown performance. The 27-year-old hadn't posted a save percentage lower than .926 over his previous four contests. He's now at a 6-4 record with a 2.55 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 10 playoff games. This series has become a best-of-three to wrap it up, making Tuesday's Game 5 in Vegas a critical one to win.

  • Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Earns helper in playoff debut

Zellweger notched an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights in Game 4.

Zellweger got into the lineup over Tyson Hinds in this contest, as Hinds' regular defense partner, Drew Helleson, was sidelined by an undisclosed injury. Zellweger delivered his first playoff point, a secondary helper, on Ian Moore's game-winning goal at 3:43 of the third period. In the regular season, Zellweger produced 22 points, 119 shots on net, 85 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 76 outings. He has a path to playing time as long as the Ducks are dealing with some injuries on the blue line, but he may not be an everyday option for the rest of the postseason.
