Nick DeSimone D | UTA
Mammoth's Nick DeSimone: Gathers helper Saturday
DeSimone notched an assist in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
DeSimone was in the lineup for MacKenzie Weegar (upper body), who is considered day-to-day. The 31-year-old DeSimone had been in a reserve role since March 12, sitting out 10 straight games while the Mammoth were healthy on the blue line. He's picked up a career-high eight points with 33 shots on net, 29 blocked shots, 17 hits and a plus-6 rating over 38 appearances this season. He'll likely play in a third-pairing role for as long as Weegar is out.

Brandon Tanev LW | UTA
Mammoth's Brandon Tanev: Contributes helper in win
Tanev logged an assist and blocked three shots in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
Tanev has been in the lineup for four straight games. The 34-year-old has a chance to play regularly down the stretch while Barrett Hayton (upper body) and Jack McBain (lower body) are out on a week-to-week basis. Tanev has had a disappointing campaign with just three assists over 50 outings. He's added 135 hits, 50 PIM and 34 shots on net, but the physicality doesn't outweigh the total lack of offense, which could cause him to be a healthy scratch once the Mammoth are closer to full strength.

Logan Cooley C | UTA
Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Dishes pair of helpers in win
Cooley notched two assists in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
Cooley has racked up five goals and three assists over his last four games. The 21-year-old center is looking comfortable on the second line and first power-play unit, and he could give fantasy managers a boost late in the season. He's up to 38 points, 92 shots on net, 49 hits and a plus-6 rating over 48 appearances this season.

Mikulas Hovorka D | FLA
Panthers' Mikulas Hovorka: Loaned back to AHL
Hovorka has been loaned back to AHL Charlotte by the Panthers, the team announced Sunday.
Hovorka appeared in both of the Panthers' last two games, recording no points, three hits and one blocked shot in 29:03 of combined ice time. This NHL stint is coming to a close as he will head back to AHL Charlotte, where he has 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 53 games played.

Liam O'Brien LW | UTA
Mammoth's Liam O'Brien: Draws in, scores goal
O'Brien scored a goal and added six hits in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
O'Brien got to play Saturday due to the absence of Jack McBain (lower body). The 31-year-old O'Brien had been scratched in 18 straight games after the Olympic break, but he scored in his return to the lineup. He has three goals, one assist, 27 shots on net, 99 hits, 43 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 33 appearances. O'Brien will have a chance to play regularly while McBain and Barrett Hayton (upper body) are out.

Avery Hayes RW | PIT
Penguins' Avery Hayes: Summoned from AHL
Hayes was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.
Hayes has three goals, 20 shots on net, seven blocked shots and 16 hits in 13 NHL outings this season. He also has 23 goals and 38 points in 40 AHL appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.

Kailer Yamamoto RW | UTA
Mammoth's Kailer Yamamoto: Tallies in Saturday's win
Yamamoto scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
Yamamoto has three points over his last two games. The winger is seeing time on the second line at even strength, though his hold on that spot in the lineup is far from secure. He'll likely stay in the middle six while Jack McBain (lower body) and Barrett Hayton (upper body) are out of action. Yamamoto has 11 goals, 21 points, 46 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-13 rating through 53 appearances.

Taylor Gauthier G | PIT
Penguins' Taylor Gauthier: Jumps up from ECHL
Gauthier has been recalled by the Penguins from ECHL Wheeling on Sunday, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
Gauthier is up as insurance to Arturs Silovs because Stuart Skinner was scratched from Sunday's game after being struck with a puck near the eye Saturday. Gauthier was in the ECHL with Wheeling but is in the midst of a fabulous season, as he sports a 20-7-2 record, 2.00 GAA and a .932 save percentage.

Dawson Mercer C | NJ
Devils' Dawson Mercer: Pots another goal
Mercer scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canadiens.
Mercer started the Devils' comeback with a goal at 13:08 of the second period. He has three goals in the first two games of April after being limited to two goals and four assists over 14 outings in March. Mercer has been a reliable top-six forward with 18 goals, 39 points, 146 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 76 appearances this season, putting him on track to reach the 40-point mark for the first time in three years.

Stuart Skinner G | PIT
Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Unavailable Sunday
Skinner (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Sunday's home matchup against Florida.
With Skinner unavailable for at least one game, Arturs Silovs will start again after the latter made 19 saves in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Panthers. Pittsburgh recalled Taylor Gauthier from ECHL Wheeling on Sunday to serve as Silovs' backup.
