  • Jets' Elias Salomonsson: Hurt in Thursday's contest

Salomonsson (undisclosed) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Stars.

Salomonsson sustained the injury after a reverse hit by Jason Robertson. The severity of Salomonsson's injury is not yet known, so he can be considered day-to-day leading into Saturday's game versus the Blue Jackets pending further information. Ville Heinola or Jacob Bryson would take his place in the lineup if he has to miss time.

  • Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Set to return Thursday

Chernyshov (illness) is expected to be in the lineup Thursday versus the Maple Leafs, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Chernyshov sat out Wednesday, but it looks like he's no longer too sick to play. The 20-year-old took line rushes alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith. Chernyshov could also be a candidate for power-play time in his return after the brief absence.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Slated starter Thursday

Vejmelka is expected to start on the road against Seattle on Thursday, per Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum.

Vejmelka stopped 29 of 31 shots in a 6-2 win over Los Angeles in his last start Saturday. He has a 33-19-3 record, 2.69 GAA and .898 save percentage in 57 outings in 2025-26. Seattle ranks 26th in goals per game with 2.81 this season.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Set to start Thursday

Daccord is expected to guard the home goal versus the Mammoth on Thursday, Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum reports.

Daccord has been on the bench for the last three games after a 1-5-1 stretch. However, Philipp Grubauer hasn't been able to generate many wins either, so Daccord will get another chance in a critical matchup for the Kraken's facing playoff hopes. The Mammoth have scored 21 goals over their last six games, though they've won only three of those contests.

  • Justin Faulk D | DET

Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Departs Thursday's game

Faulk (undisclosed) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Flyers.

The nature of Faulk's injury was not announced. The 34-year-old defenseman has filled a top-four role for the Red Wings since he was traded from the Blues. If he misses time, Travis Hamonic will draw into the lineup in a bottom-four role.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Slated to play Thursday

Hyman (undisclosed) is expected to play Thursday versus Chicago, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.

Hyman has 31 goals and 51 points in 56 outings in 2025-26. He was considered a game-time call, but it seems he won't need to take a break that would have disrupted his four-game scoring streak (two goals, five points).

  • Tyler Kleven D | OTT

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Leaves Thursday's game

Kleven (upper body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Sabres.

Kleven blocked a shot up high in the first period and was unable to continue. Another injury on the blue line is a worst-case scenario for the Senators, who are already missing nearly a team's worth of defensemen. Kleven's status for Saturday's game versus the Wild will be updated later.

  • Evander Kane LW | VAN

    Canucks' Evander Kane: Unavailable Thursday

Kane (undisclosed) will miss Thursday's clash against Minnesota, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.

Kane is set to miss his second consecutive game. He has 13 goals, 31 points, 92 PIM and 110 hits in 70 appearances in 2025-26. Max Sasson is expected to dress for the second straight match due to Kane's injury.

  • Blue Jackets' Isac Lundestrom: Expected to play

Lundestrom (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Hurricanes, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Lundestrom is in line to play after leaving Tuesday's contest against the Hurricanes with an injury concern. He warmed up on the fourth line and should be good for his usual penalty-killing duties as well.

  • Blue Jackets' Mason Marchment: Expected to miss Thursday's game

Marchment (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Thursday versus Carolina, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.

Marchment's injury will disrupt his recent success -- he had a goal and four points across his past two outings. The 30-year-old has 18 goals and 40 points in 62 appearances between Seattle and Columbus in 2025-26. Luca Del Bel Belluz is set to draw into the lineup due to Marchment's absence.
