  • Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Ties NHL-career high in points

Coyle had a goal and three assists in a 5-1 win over Carolina on Tuesday.

Coyle's four points tied an NHL career high. His goal, which came on the power play late in the first period, stood as the game-winner. He also set up a goal on the power play. Coyle continues to pace toward a career season. He has 17 goals, 38 assists, 121 shots, 87 hits and 11 power-play points in 67 games. Coyle's best regular season ever came in Boston in 2023-24, when he put up 25 goals, 35 assists, 11 power-play points and 147 shots.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Among NHL's best in net so far

Sorokin made 26 saves in a 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

The Leafs put up a solid number of shots, but he didn't really have to push himself. The lone goal that got past him came on a spinaround shot by a fourth-line player. Sorokin is 5-2-0 in seven starts after the Olympic break. Overall, he's 25-15-2 with a 2.49 GAA and .914 save percentage in 42 starts. Sorokin's GAA is eighth overall in the NHL. He's tied with Andrei Vasilevskiy and Devin Cooley for second in the NHL in save percentage.

  • Islanders' Calum Ritchie: Five points in last five games

Ritchie had a goal and an assist Tuesday in a 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

It was a big night for Ritchie, who was playing his first NHL game in Toronto, the NHL city closest to Oakville, where he grew up. His goal, which came when he followed his own rebound on the power play, stood as the game-winner. Ritchie is a smart, two-way pivot who projects as a playmaker who can also kill penalties. Ritchie has five points (two goals, three assists) in his last five games (10 shots) and 21 points, including nine goals, in 51 games this season.

  • Islanders' Brayden Schenn: First goal with new team

Schenn scored a power-play goal Tuesday in a 3-1 win over Toronto.

It was Schenn's first goal with the Islanders; it came in his fifth game since being traded to the team from the Blues. Overall, Schenn has three points (one goal, two assists) in those five games with the Isles. He's skating as the team's 2C, and his offense has been slow overall this season. However, the Isles brought him in for his veteran presence and his existing Stanley Cup ring, which he slid on after the Blues emerged victorious.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Three apples help key win

Barzal put up three assists in a 3-1 win over Toronto on Tuesday.

He picked two of the apples on the power play and the third at even strength. Barzal has been hot since Jan. 31 -- he has 16 points, including 11 assists, in his last 14 games. He also has 33 points (eight goals, 25 assists) in 28 games in 2026. Barzal is closing in on a top-20 spot on the NHL playmaker's leader board. His 45 assists this season put him 22nd on that list and in a tie with Clayton Keller of Utah.

  • Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Ten points in last 10 games

Schaefer put up a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Schaefer has 10 points (two goals, eight assists), 29 shots and one power-play point in his last 10 games. Overall, the rookie defender continues to impress with 20 goals and 29 assists in 68 games. That puts Schaefer in a tie with Erik Karlsson for 11th in the NHL from the blue line. Perhaps more impressively, he's flirting with a 60-point pace. If he achieves that, Schaefer would be the 11th rookie defender in NHL history to achieve that mark. That would get him into Nicklas Lidstrom territory.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Fails to get offensive support

Woll made 31 saves in a 3-1 loss to the Islanders on Tuesday.

Woll surrendered two power-play goals in the first period, and the only offensive support he got came from the fourth line. That's a hard place to be. Woll continues to demonstrate that he's an above-average NHL starter, but the Leafs have skidded into the ditch this season. He's 1-5-1 in seven outings since the Olympic break with an .893 save percentage in that span.

  • Jack Nesbitt C | PHI

Flyers' Jack Nesbitt: Scores twice in OHL win

Nesbitt scored twice in OHL Windsor's 5-1 win over Erie on Tuesday.

Nesbitt has three goals and six assists during a five-game point streak, matching his longest streak of the season. It's been a relatively unremarkable campaign for the Flyers prospect, but he's finishing strong. Nesbitt is at 21 goals and 54 points over 53 appearances.

  • Cameron Reid D | NSH

Predators' Cameron Reid: Posts three points in OHL win

Reid scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Kitchener's 6-2 win over Flint on Tuesday.

Reid has three goals and four assists over seven contests in March. For the season, the defenseman has career-high marks with 15 goals, 41 assists and 56 points this season. He's added a plus-25 rating, 113 shots on net and 29 PIM.

  • Panthers' Jack Studnicka: Nets both goals in loss

Studnicka scored two goals in AHL Charlotte's 5-2 loss to Hartford on Tuesday.

Studnicka is up to 22 points over 30 outings for the Checkers. He's picked up the pace with four goals and two assists over seven outings in March. While he spent time with the Panthers earlier in the season, he went scoreless over 18 appearances with the big club.
