Avalanche's Jack Drury: Scores shorthanded in loss

Drury scored a shorthanded goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Drury's goal put the Avalanche up 3-0 in the first period, but it was all downhill after that. The 26-year-old center has contributed some depth scoring with three goals, two assists, 14 shots on net, 12 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 12 playoff contests. Drury will likely be counted on for key faceoffs if Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) is unable to suit up with the season on the line Tuesday in Game 4.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Pots goal in loss

Kadri scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Kadri had gone three games without a goal before his first-period tally Sunday. The veteran forward is up to three goals, five assists, 35 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-1 rating over 12 playoff contests. He's been playing on the wing lately but may need to move to the middle if Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) is unavailable for Tuesday's Game 4.

  • Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Opens scoring in Game 3 loss

Landeskog scored a goal on six shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Landeskog tallied just 3:21 into the game, the first of three goals for the Avalanche in the first period. The 33-year-old has two of his team's six goals in this round so far. He's up to a total of five goals, 10 points, 35 shots on net, 37 hits and a plus-3 rating through 12 playoff outings.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Squanders three-goal lead

Wedgewood stopped 18 of 22 shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Wedgewood was given the nod again in Vegas despite losing the previous two games on home ice. The Avalanche gave him a 3-0 lead in the first period, but the Golden Knights charged back and took the contest. This is the first time Wedgewood has lost three straight games all year. He's down to 7-4 with a 2.47 GAA and a .904 save percentage over 11 playoff outings. With Wedgewood's struggles against the Golden Knights, head coach Jared Bednar may consider turning to Mackenzie Blackwood with the Avalanche's season on the line in Game 4 on Tuesday.

  • Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Hurt in Game 3

Nichushkin (undisclosed) departed Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals and did not return, according to Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

Per Rawal, Nichushkin did not play in the final 22 minutes of Sunday's loss, and there was no update on his status from head coach Jared Bednar after the game. Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) was also banged up in Game 3, so the Avalanche are facing an uphill battle on the cusp of elimination. Nichushkin can be considered questionable for Game 4 in Vegas on Tuesday until information regarding his availability is provided.

  • Golden Knights' Kaedan Korczak: Adds pair of helpers

Korczak notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Korczak's role has shrunk as the postseason has progressed, but he was in the lineup over Ben Hutton in this game after being a scratch in four of the previous six contests. Even when he plays, Korczak is limited to third-pairing minutes, giving him minimal fantasy upside. He's earned three helpers, three shots on goal, 21 hits, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 11 playoff appearances.

  • Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Provides pair of assists

Marner notched two assists, two shots on goal and two PIM in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Marner helped spark the Golden Knights' comeback effort. He set up Mark Stone on the power play and William Karlsson at even strength early in the second period for Vegas' first two goals. Marner has four multi-point efforts over his last seven games and continues to look like one of the best players on the ice. He's up to seven goals, 14 assists, 37 shots on net and a plus-13 rating across 15 playoff contests.

  • Keegan Kolesar RW | DET

Golden Knights' Keegan Kolesar: Nets tying goal

Kolesar scored a goal and added three hits in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Kolesar's first attempt went off the post, but it landed in the crease behind Scott Wedgewood for the Vegas winger to tap in. Kolesar hadn't scored since March 14 versus the Blackhawks, and his last point came March 22 against the Stars. In 15 playoff outings, he's contributed 11 shots on net, 69 hits, 10 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-3 rating while playing on the fourth line.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Deposits empty-netter Sunday

Howden scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Howden has scored three goals over his last four games. The 28-year-old continues to provide consistent offense, and he stayed in the top six Sunday even with Mark Stone returning from a lower-body injury. Howden is up to 10 goals, two assists, 27 shots on net, 40 hits and a plus-8 rating over 15 playoff outings.

  • Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Goal, assist in Game 3 win

Karlsson scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist and went plus-3 in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Karlsson pulled the Golden Knights within a goal when he scored at 4:05 of the second period. He also set up Brett Howden's empty-netter to seal the comeback win. Karlsson has filled a middle-six role since returning from a lengthy absence due to a lower-body injury. He's earned five points (one goal, four assists) with 12 shots on net, nine blocked shots and a plus-6 rating in nine playoff appearances.
