Suzuki has two goals and four helpers over his last three contests. The 26-year-old center continues to play a leading role on offense for the Canadiens after logging his 20th multi-point effort in 61 appearances. He's up to 20 goals, 71 points (33 on the power play), 133 shots on net, 48 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-26 rating. Suzuki produced 89 points in 82 regular-season outings a year ago, and he's on pace to surpass that total in 2025-26.

Hutson scored a power-play goal on two shots, dished two assists and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Hutson had gone six contests without a multi-point effort, though he still got on the scoresheet in five of them. He played a key role in this high-scoring game, scoring in the first period and setting up both of Cole Caufield's tallies as part of a rally in the third. Hutson is up to 11 goals, 63 points (18 on the power play), 96 shots on net, 96 blocked shots and a plus-24 rating over 61 appearances. His 66-point rookie campaign was no fluke -- Hutson is among the best offensive defensemen in the league at just 22 years old.

Canadiens' Cole Caufield: Big role in rally Friday
Caufield scored twice on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
While the Canadiens couldn't get the win, Caufield was a big part of the reason why they were able to get one standings point. His pair of goals came in the third period to turn a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 lead as part of a three-goal rally in 4:23 of game time. With five goals and a helper over his last four contests, Caufield has picked up right where he left off at the Olympic break. The 25-year-old winger has matched his career high of 37 goals, set last year, and he's at 63 points (21 on the power play), 187 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-22 rating through 61 appearances in 2025-26.

Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Squanders comeback effort
Montembeault stopped 28 of 33 shots in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Montembeault helped the Canadiens get back in the game in the third period, and the offense was able to pull ahead 5-4. Chris Kreider scored in the final minute of regulation to tie it up again, and Montembeault couldn't steal the win in the shootout, taking his second consecutive loss past regulation time. He's down to 10-8-4 with a 3.43 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 25 appearances this season. Montembeault will likely be on the bench for Saturday's game versus the Kings, which should be a start for Jakub Dobes to close out this road trip.

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Supplies pair of assists
Trouba notched two assists and added two PIM in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
Trouba has earned two goals and seven assists over his last 10 outings. The 32-year-old blueliner had a hand in third-period tallies by Leo Carlsson and Chris Kreider in this contest. Trouba is up to 30 points, 126 shots on net, 108 hits, 113 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 61 games this season. He's functioned as the Ducks' top right-shot blueliner this season, but those duties could go to John Carlson (lower body) after he was acquired from the Capitals in a trade.

Gudas scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
Gudas had gone 39 games without a goal, and he had just one helper over his previous 11 contests. The 35-year-old blueliner rarely adds much offense, but he was able to get a puck through at 11:56 of the first period, tying this game at 2-2. The defenseman is up to 12 points, 57 shots on net, 153 hits, 81 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 49 appearances. Gudas will likely play regularly on the third pairing once John Carlson (lower body) makes his Ducks debut.

LaCombe scored a power-play goal on two shots and added an assist in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
LaCombe had gone 27 games without a goal prior to his second-period tally Friday. Despite the lack of goals, he had 10 assists over his prior 11 contests to maintain a steady presence on offense in addition to his strong defense. The 25-year-old blueliner is up to seven goals, 36 assists, 14 power-play points, 124 shots on net, 106 blocked shots, 55 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 62 appearances. LaCombe is likely to remain the Ducks' top overall blueliner, but he may lose some power-play minutes to John Carlson (lower body), who was traded from the Capitals prior to Friday's deadline.

Carlsson scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
Carlsson has gotten on the scoresheet in five of his last six games, totaling three goals and five helpers in that span. The 21-year-old center has continued to play in a top-line role after his absence due to a thigh injury. He's now at a career-high 21 goals in addition to 31 assists, 127 shots on net and a plus-5 rating across 50 appearances this season.

Gauthier scored a goal on five shots, added a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
Gauthier has six goals and an assist over four contests in March. He struck early Friday, opening the scoring just 39 seconds into the game. The 22-year-old winger is looking like a real star with 32 goals, 57 points, 236 shots on net, 49 hits and a plus-6 rating over 61 appearances this season. He's on track to compete for a 40-goal campaign and has an outside chance to hit 80 points as well.

Ducks' Chris Kreider: Leads offense with four points
Kreider scored a goal on four shots, added three assists and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Canadiens.
Kreider had a helper in each period and also scored with 42 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. This was his fourth multi-point effort in his last eight games, a span in which he has four goals and seven assists. The veteran winger is up to 21 goals, 18 assists, 13 power-play points, 105 shots on net, 47 hits and a plus-1 rating over 56 appearances this season. Kreider continues to bring experience and quality offense to the Ducks' young top six.
